He stared at me, because I had my 3 year old grandson with me. Nothing is more disturbing to me than to go out for a nice dinner and be put upon by loud, running children from other tables. I have taken by dinner check to the offending parents and presented it to them to pay since they had allowed their child to misbehave I felt it only fair to allow them to pick up my tab. At one point, my grandson tapped another child on the shoulder and explained if he didn't sit down and be quiet he would be in trouble and not get dessert. The parents were shocked when their child sat at the table quietly.

Re: WTF: Man Slaps Child in WalMart, Gets Arrested (VIDEO)

You are correct, however, proper parents instill the difference between right and wrong to their children from birth. It can be done by voice tone, a look, or many other ways. If you are such a poor parent that you cannot control a 2 year old in public, please stay home until you have it right. I speak from experience. I have and 41 yr old son and 2 grandchildren. Never once have I been embarassed in public. Prior to entering the store, they were reminded of the rules about touching things and how to behave. This constant reminder stayed with them. However, I was smart enough not to take them shopping when they would normally be napping. Routine is very important you youngsters. Young parents today, don't think about the consequences of their actions. It was not the toddler he should have slapped but the mother for being incompetent.
