I have to agree with Abdul. All I heard were talking points, though I do give credit to Coats for answering the jabs. Burris needs to find some specifics instead of touting the traditional LP ideology. We're not writing philosophical term papers here. This is for big time. Hope she finds a hairdresser that doesn't flair out her hair on each side. Each time the camera focused on her, she reminded me of the flying nun.

Unions love to lord over companies with threats to take them down. In fact, today the AFL-CIO is asking the administration in DC to publicly take over private corporations and is spending $50 million to elect Democrats to office aimed toward that.

For IPS members uninterested in details that make up these catagories, then they shouldn't be surprised at grossly inflated copy machines, laptops, etc. How many times do responsible people have to be told that the devil is in the details! Dismiss these lazy fiscally irresponsible non-representing representatives.

311. Militia: composition and classes

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.
(b) The classes of the militia are—
(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

The 3 items in the blog refer to punishing companies. I'm not sure that is the complete answer to Phoenix which has become the kidnapping capitol of the nation (and 2nd in the world, following Mexico). Arizona has been complaining for a long time about it's citizens safety and the failure of the Fed to secure borders. I don't blame Arizona one bit.

Agree. I like 'pass the salt' comment. Since salt is now considered a threat to the armed forces since it contributes to escalating obesity,resulting in less eligible entrants that puts the armed forces at jeopardy, I suppose my salt shaker is next on the terrorist watch list.

WELL SAID. On a relative scale, the tea party is still in the incubation stages, much like the first cry of a newborn. You are witnessing the birth of a movement that is focused on bringing awareness to core founding principles, leaving it up to the individual to make personal political decisions. It has done perfectly fine as leaderless. Both major parties are responsible for current damage, but the Republicans who tout conservative leanings have lost our trust. Take the NY 23rd where the tea party favored a candiate over the annointed Rino, and both lost to a D. (even Newt Gingrinch claimed in retrospect that he regretted not supporting the Tea Party candidate instead of the Rino). The same may be ocurring in Arizona with republican annointed McCain. Look at Florida with Tea Party favorite, Rubio (up double digits against a Rino). If the R party machine continues to be part of the problem, then it is theirs to lose over politics; not the Tea Party. It may take several election cycles, but at least ballots are better than bullets.

I don't know of any tea party endorsing Coats. Someone is throwing out bait.
Here's a question for the forum: In what way would you DIFFER from the founding philosophy genuine Tea Partiers adhere to.
Or how about this? Would you have been an original patriot by trespassing onto English ships and throwing someone else's property overboard? (ie. when is there a time for civil disobedience?)

Has anyone ever heard that it was an inalienable 'right' to have health insurance? Nope. If God gave us inalienable rights, then you shouldn't be forced to pay for it. Otherwise it is not inalienable.
Ok, you say it should be a 'civil' right. If so, then the government giveth and taketh away and you may be forced to pay for it on that basis. But the Federal government has no constitutional authority to federalize a healthcare mandate requirement simply because you were born an American. Rights not enumerated fall the the States and the People. Our founding fathers would be shocked to learn of this new burden infringing upon citizens' private financial health decisions. Ok. so you say it is a 'human' right to decide for yourself. Finally, you got it 'right'.

I would ask the Parks Dept. & the CC. to show just cause by providing ANY studies, ANY statistics that justify a defenseless society while in a park. Why should we be defenseless while having a picnic or attending an outdoor concert in a park? When and why did someone conclude that we cannot defend ourselves by stepping into a park. Provide ANYTHING that justifies the notion that carrying a legal gun on public park property somehow incites violence. Where are the studies that back that up? Where is the evidence? Please convince us as law abiding citizens that we pose any risk to others by carrying a concealed personal firearm while walking through a park. Or that those who have xray eyes can somehow detect a concealed weapon, get paranoid, and incite themselves into violence.
Either permit citizens to defend themselves or the city can hire an armed security park police for every park during open hours to defend the defenseless. Do not deprive citizens of access to defense. Absent that, then leave us alone with our right to defend ourselves, our family and our children.

After several anti-Bayh Tea Party rallies and protests across the State, including several outside his offices, can't help but feel mixed about watching his press conference with his children standing beside him. However, he is not the moderate democrat as some have painted him. He voted for and embraced the major programs the far left created and still would vote for Obama during the next election. Hardly "Bayh"-Partisan.

I like the oldest post under 'name' (except for the slap at Ed). There are no protesters with signs in the streets and no one staging sit-ins or feigning death on the Capitol lawn to repeal the current ordinance. To this point, this is low-hanging fruit. There is no need to make a splash in the water in order to find some sort of self-relevance so just lift the antiquated restriction imposed on the 2nd amendment by our big brother friends and move on.
