And with all these, my Samsung Galaxy phone reverted by itself to Samsung Internet as the default browser overnight. I had Chrome set there since forever.

Ha, a few hour after my previous comment the Gemini app (sideloaded) started to work in Romania. It can replace assistant, it activates with button or Hey Google. All seems to be working as expected.

I actually discovered this today ( Dec 18th). On the black background the 3D buildings are barely visible, but they are there. There is also an option in the settings to turn it off (where the satellite option is).

I've got it as well on Android 11, OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren, official OOS ROM. And contacts app got a few days ago. I am not yet sure I like it though.

No. I have a OnePlus 7T Pro right now, and before that I had a Samsung Note 8. I didn't have to unlock either phone. I mean, I never even heard about this problem before. None of my friends with other car models and phones ever had to unlock their phones. Just plug the phone into the USB port, and AA automatically appears on the car's screen.
PS: Both phones have stock firmware, they are not rooted.

Uhmm... I don't get this. I use Android Auto with my Mazda CX-5. I never had to unlock my phone. In fact I think if I connect the phone to the car when it is unlocked, AA starts and locks the screen.

Yeah. I am pretty disappointed with OnePlus updates. I switched from Samsung to OnePlus in 2019 exactly because OnePlus was getting Android 10 so fast and updates were rolling out in a timely manner. That being said, since I've got my 7T McLaren in late 2019, I've got exactly 1 (one) update in a whole year, the 10.0.9 one. Since that was pushed in May or June, no more updates. I've read there was a 10.0.10, a 10.0.11, and so on, but none of those reached me. The phone still says I am on the latest version. Now we are at 10.0.14 for some time now, but meh ... phone still says there is nothing to update.
Did any of you guys get anything newer than 10.0.9 on your McLare 7Ts?

I completely agree with this review. I switched from a Samsung Galaxy Watch to the Garmin Venu. At first it was amazing how light it felt my wrist. The Venu's size is also better for me. It took me some time to get used to the somewhat laggy UI and very simple design for the menus. But I regret nothing. This watch is an amazing fitness tracker, and that is what I wanted. 3rd party watch faces are very slow, but I managed to sattle for one of the built-in ones that I customised. It is great that you can create your watch faces based on a template and selecting the desired data fields. Only if there were templates with more than 3 data fields ...
My overall verdict, I will never go back to Samsung.

I draw by hand some templates in LibreOffice ... or I believe it was called OpenOffice all those years ago, and then just reused the same boxes with different color and connected them with arrows. It is fairly fast and easy once you get used to it.

I can be at about 10-15 meters from my phone inside the house to get notifications. Outside it should go somewhat farther, but don't expect too much.

I also did a similar switch from Samsung Galaxy Watch. And I am super pleased with my Garmin Venu. On Android you can reply to messages as well. It is funny to see how Chrome is slowly turning into what Opera browser was 10 years ago. Tab grouping was one of my favorite features on Opera back in the days. I am glad it is coming to Chrome finally.

It's too high. Even the S9 was too expensive for my taste. The Note series is untouchable. So, my last Samsung phone is my current Note 8. I already decided that my next phone will be a OnePlus.

I enabled the notification setting both in settings and chrome flags. However, they keep popping up as before. I can't seem to get the new less annoying pop-ups. Did anyone have success with this?

Same here. And it is annoying like hell because I was in the A/B testing and I had dark mode for a month or so before it was officially released. And I loved it! Then it was officially released and bam! The option disappeared and the app reverted to light theme.

I am disappointed with this design. I don't think something like this will happen. Here is why:
1. FRONT - I expect screens to cover the whole front of the display, zero bezels.
2. FRONT - I expect punch wholes in the display will go away even faster than 2022. I don't have and won't by a phone with holes and cuts on the display. If there is to be some bezel, I'd rather live with that.
3. BACK - The cameras' positions are not ergonomic enough. You can't hold that phone with both of your hands to take a picture. You will cover some of the cameras. So you will hold it with one hand. But that will inadvertently cover one microphone more than the other, so all you videos will be much louder on the left or right.
4. BACK - As OnePlus already proved, and Nokia seems to follows suit (if rumors are to be believed), the golden ratio between camera lenses and quality is 3 lenses. I expect most phone in 2022 to have 3 lenses except some special editions focusing on photography only.

It works for me. My Mazda CX-5 has no issues with steering wheel phone controls.
The mute notification option is also nice, but not working perfectly. What I observed is that the notification sound is not played through the car speakers, but it is played through the phone's speakers. And still, music or audiobook gets paused or their volume reduced when the notification arrives.

Hmm ... Curious. For me the frog completely disappeared from the weather card today (Jan 1st). I can't see it on the search result cards. It disappeared from the weather app as well.

PS: it seems to be location related. There is no more frog for my city, but if I search for weather in Los Angeles, there is the frog again.
