Thanks for doing this!!! I know LibSyn has support as that's what we're using. And it was super easy to update our shows and they appear to be live on the site. One note... one of our shows didn't update as expected, so likely good for everyone to check now that it's live.

Brian. You impressed me from the moment I met you. Your kindness and thoughtfulness were palpable. Both you and your wife are amazing people and I am beyond honoured to now count you as friends.

What I didn't expect was to be so moved by your work. I'd spent time reviewing your work prior to the workshop and I expected brilliantly executed photos that were bright, colourful and stunning vistas of venice. What I got instead was the quiet you. As you say, I got to see what the artist inside you sees of this magical city. I witnessed and felt what it was like to be an outsider. Damn.

What matters most is how you feel about your work, as I'm sure you know. But I want you to know that this work fucking moved me, dude. Can we swear in disqus? Will this be marked as spam now? lol

And without going into too much detail on private matters, I am beyond proud that you reached out and grabbed the moment on that final day. It would have been far easier, I'm sure, to just walk away and not confront that place inside you. But I'm so glad you did.

All my love, dude! And colour me f'ing jealous of this series.

This really struck home for me. As photographers, we are often the worst of the bunch, constantly scrambling to get the next piece of gear so we can do X, Y or Z. I've been working hard to work with what I have and only buy what is ABSOLUTELY necessary and it has changed me for the better in so many ways. I've followed your feed and am looking forward to future blog posts!

Hi Jean,

Victoria pointed to the cause as the fact that the dog was shaken awake and startled. I don't believe this is a correct assessment and I was surprised how quickly and succinctly she made such an assertion. I then present a bunch of potential stressors which I think are far more likely or at least should be considered.

Furthermore, these are stressors which the public NEEDS to know about. Everyone assumes their dog is good with their kids when we see clear signs of stress in their dogs.

And now we can each reach out and take those lessons... but we have to overcome the voice that says we are starting "too late" or "if only..." And this is hard. I hear it everyday. :( Oh, and I took piano as a kid and now I can play chopsticks 20+ years later. :)

A great comment and one worth remembering.

It's hard to remember we are not the centre of the universe sometimes.

Perhaps a life where we say yes to other people's dreams more often would be a life better lived. Sadly, we often see this as an either/or proposition. Either doing things other people want or doing things we want. Interestingly we then end up doing neither.

Hey Chris,

Awesome thoughts and a wonderful way to continue this conversation. In fact, I just sent Eric to re-read your comment based on an SMS he sent me about a lack of likes on a photo of his. :)

If we add in the fact that we are emotional creatures of habit, we have to put an immense amount of work and effort into changing our behaviour to focus on the journey and not the rewards. I believe that social media has made this harder with all of the quick dopamine hits and short attention span boosts.

I am so proud of your continuous growth in focusing on your journey of craftsmanship. I might even be a little jealous. :)

We will definitely return to this in a future show.
