I'm sorry to hear about the RSI. I developed that in both wrists when I was doing a job that involved tons of data entry. Rest and time off the computer is the only fix, which is tricky when you need to use the computer to earn your dough.

Is there anyone who can help out with the computer stuff until your RSI improves?

Oh hey, I'm sorry. I didn't know quite how to credit something that has been reblogged a zillion times, whether to leave your name at the top, or put your name on the list of names at the bottom of the post (which is what I ended up doing). Should your name have been at the beginning of the list rather than at the end? I honestly wasn't sure of the best way to go about it. I can change it, if you can instruct me as to how it should look.

Also, when you say I took your format, what do you mean? The list of reblogged from links at the bottom? Or the typed out list of songs? Or your name at the top and the list of usernames at the bottom?

I'm confused. Please let me know what I should have done, because I wasn't sure how to do it. This is one of the reasons I don't usually reblog things that have been reblogged over and over and over -- they're messy!

Aw, I'm sorry you had to deal with that guy. What a dick.

I've certainly been verbally abused in customer service situations, but I would imagine that a woman working tech support gets it really bad. Every day? Man, that's wear down my nerves.

Thylacine vs Tasmanian Tiger.
I don't have a preference to use one over the other, since all info I have about them comes from Australian websites, which seem to use them interchangeably. They're not usually called anything here, since hardly anyone has heard of them at all! The caption to this photo "Adult thylacine w/ 3 young..." was pasted directly from the Australian Museum site.

I imagine the prevalence of "thylacine" on the websites I've encountered might have something to do with museums and educators wanting to avoid giving people the impression that they are actually tigers.

Instow...I don't know if I ever went there, but the name sounds familiar. And I've visited Bideford several times. Barnstaple was my favorite "big town" Devon, after Exeter.

The school I went to was in Gt. Torrington, and I lived with a family in dreary little Shebbear. Ah, memories... and yes, a lot of the people there were like English village versions of the smalltown weirdos I grew up with in the US.

Do you know the village Buckland Brewer? Someone once told me that it has a long history of witchcraft. Odd place.

I love rural New England. But we were traveling with my boyfriend's parents, so that helped to keep me from getting too comfortable there!

Thanks for the tip about beerity.
I picked came across Harpoon on my recent trip to Vermont, and really liked it. It's not as "soft drink-like" as the usual brands I find in the city.

My dictionary had an Indo-European language tree in it too, but it was a newer version that looked more like a chart. I loved that thing so much! I was especially intrigued by the two "dead" Celtic languages, Cornish and Manx. I think there was an attempt at a Cornish revival in the 70s but it didn't take off. The Manx are still working at their revival...

I spent so much time leafing through that dictionary. I wish I still had it.
