How about native BlackBerry PlayBook app? Until then, unless you're requiring a fancy plugin, the PlayBook browser should handle whatever you throw at it.

You make some good points, and definitely the BB Bridge should have been sorted out for reviewers. It seems like RIM's strategy is to establish a beachhead with existing BB users/corporations. So having Bridge ready to go is a must.

They have to do something to get into the market, even if it's not fully polished. I contend that a further delay would be more harmful than even the middling reviews. At least the consensus is that the platform itself is solid, but needs some polish on the software side. It's not perfect, but has promise. They'll just have to struggle to get the message out about improvements as they come along.

Great to see that new features are still coming!

Showing the end time of the films on the schedule certainly makes it way more useful. But to really be effective, you need to cut off the screening entries at this time instead of running out to the end of the day. The visual representation of the gap between movies would be incredibly helpful.

The images on the film detail pages are too low quality to be blown up that big. And the white text of the movie title being overlayed is often hard to read.

Sorry to be so negative, hopefully you find the comments constructive. :) You've got some cool stuff going on here, so I hope to see you guys continue.

I'd also mention that the graphics and (for the most part) animation are fantastic! Very slick-looking game for the BB. Curious to see how the controls would be implemented on a Storm.

Uggg, IE strikes again. It hadn't occurred to me to check things in that browser yet, it looks just fine with Firefox. Somehow IE isn't playing nice with the style sheet ... I'm using it as a basis for my Timeline reformatting, and it looks way messed up in IE.

This is almost super cool ... seriously, though, what's with the ears? Ahh, now that I see their other designs, it's just laziness.
Speaking of crosses between Star Wars & tech geekiness, my fav is something a friend found for me in Japan. It's a Vader helmet cell phone strap with eyes that flash at incoming calls. Alas my phone isn't GSM, so I can't enjoy that particular benefit at the moment.

And I'd be the first to admit to being an MIA staff member for the past while. Sure, there are plenty of real-world excuses - grad research paper, new full-time job - not to mention recurring SW burnout and frustration with the old format.
