Thank you for this article, it’s very informative. My wife and I adopted two boys, one Black and one white. We have been fortunate to live in neighborhoods with black neighbors, even though these aren’t traditionally Black neighborhoods. We want to expose both our kids to diverse communities, and especially give our Black son the tools he needs to feel comfortable in the world.

In thinking about the two brothers in your article, one positive is that maybe they will be motivated to stay in communities of color as adults.

That makes sense. I just wonder if there is any use of support and resistance in these kinds of adjustments. I suppose if it did go back to the upside, above the new call, your original (richer) put could give a bigger return than the loss on the new call position.

Lets say you put a new short put on though, after it bounces up, now you have a kind of strange situation where the put is on top of the call? Or, would you roll it out a month then?

On the NKE adjustment, was it risky to move the call down so quickly? I can see closing it. But it seems likely NKE would trade in a range, and would be back about your new short call position. I’d be curious if your thoughts on this. Thank you!

I know, I read the article. I was just trying to relate it to my own disappointment with NMAA at an important track and field event. They didn't give me two chances, but I guess if they did, meets would go on forever. As a young person, it was quite disappointing, so i can feel their pain (sort of!?).

I remember being bummed about a disqualification in track And field because of a false start. They don't DQ somebody in the olympics for that. Why would they in HS?
