Are people going to listen to voice memos? I use assistant speech to text all the time but people would rather read the messages than hear someone's half s convo right?

Hybrids may well slow the transition to EVs, but any car company that makes EVs only too soon will hurt their sales vs. their competition. If they don't make money they won't make any kind of cars, EV or otherwise.

I don't know about obvious mistakes. You have to remember that Toyota needs to make money to exist, primarily.

EV sales cannibalize ICE sales so there's a real cost to making too many EVs too soon. The cars need to actually sell.

I have an electric motorcycle and I absolutely hate looking for chargers. I hate the anxiety of waiting and figuring out who is next in line and how long I'm going to be there and I only have a 21kwh battery which charges pretty fast.

I'm looking at more doors on my other vehicle and am probably going plug-in hybrid of some sort.

Charging infra simply isn't there yet. Maybe battery technology needs to save us. Maybe Tesla superchargers everywhere will do the trick...I don't know but I hate having to worry about how many broken chargers are at my next stop, if I can even find one.

Don't forget the most obvious solution to emissions: staying home. Then there's walking, sharing a ride, taking the bus.

Having a car doesn't mean you use it all the time. We don't need to vilify people who don't want an EV yet.

I often have a need to have a web page read to me. I use it all the time in news apps if I'm doing something else around the house.

At work, I will want to read an article and keep focus, even if something momentarily distracts my eye.

On a PC or Mac, If there's a good way to have read aloud in chrome today, I don't know about it.

I don't love Microsoft Edge, but it has a really decent read aloud feature, and I am using it more and more.

What do you mean they don't release their numbers? They are a publicly listed company. The only issue I had is the latest releases were in Italian, but I figured it out because I looked at older releases and compared them to the latest year's filings.

Actually it was! I don't live in California, where the ship docks from Italy, but they put it on ground transport to get it to me. I've actually only had it 4 days now. I'm only at 100 miles, but it's a winner. Changes direction pretty quickly, and the weight stays neutral/low. I don't know how the range calculation stacks up, but I think I'm heavy on the juice at the moment just addicted to the new sensation.

It's not that complex, it's just a logical truth at some usage limit. If you use a 12 MPG SUV once a month, but your 50MPG motorcycle the other days, your impact uses an average of 48.7MPG to move your bodymass around in a given month. I personally have various vehicles with differing efficiencies, but I don't even commute every day, so I'm just saying you can't always judge someone's usage as their life may be entirely different.

Also, if we are virtue signalling, my electric motorcycle is way more efficient that all these Teslas, so do I collect a mug or pen for my prize?

Having a gas guzzler doesn't mean it's burning gas. He can only drive one vehicle at a time. A guzzler that sits parked most days is greener than a daily driven nissan leaf.

Some of things shouldn't be changed when they work perfectly. Put the wiper on the stalk. Imagine tapping through menus for a turn signal.
