I'm not too smart. Unlike some, the wisdom of reprogramming an immune system by people claiming competence reminds me far too much of idiots who cannot fix cars or computers. Why anyone would solicit such for a group which falls outside primary threat parameters is not obvious. Whatever happened to caution indicated by "Do No Harm" ? It isn't as if they can be trusted to reinstate conditions before meddling was instituted.

Why would I use a streaming app to play downloaded material ? The guy who quit Audible in disgust mirrors my reaction. And yes, I can multitask in print while listening to a story. My connection to the net is unreliable. The cloud can be unavailable without warning for hours at a time.

The purpose of energy tax being used to restrict access is a fine case of forcing people to finance activity plainly against their own interests. Thinking projections of future conditions are a reasonable excuse is to completely ignore that we cannot do that reliably much more than a week ahead; let alone accept a premise that it can be done decades ahead - with no chance of verification to buttress such a fantastical idea.

Reading through this article, one would think it an absolute miracle people did not suffer a plethora of diseases from raw milk before pasteurization was instituted. I happened to read blogs of people who disagreed the practice conferred a benefit. In fact, it is thought killing bacteria cannot happen without reducing nutrition and destroying long chain molecules. This belief is closely held because of paying attention to the resulting general health of children rather than speculating on 'what ifs'.

BTW I'm in Texas North.....Alberta (Canuckistan). Mind, our fondness for the US is often not enhanced by proximity. Calling somebody an anarchist in cowboy country is likely a compliment. As for 'carbon emissions' ..... find a study which can demonstrate effects of mankind's practices in some kind of systematic linkage of cause and effect. Hint : that's tough to do without an essential of science ..... data. Things which have not happened cause no data trail.

This nonsense was current over 10 years ago. The government of India, in turn, instituted independent research which concluded determining factors for glacial growth were direction of winds aloft and their moisture content. They figured they needed realistic appraisal based on science rather than fantasies of the absurd.

I don't think you should 'believe authority'. That's the point ! Rather you should appreciate disagreement when discussing unknown situations. It is the only way to generate variation of forecasts. Weather reports are only decent for a week. Climate ? We have no verifiable idea. In such a situation 'authority' is a fantasy.

I remain intentionally disagreeing with representations that air circulation, storms, clouds, rain and more are reasonably accounted for in calculations of static conditions enforced by air in a world with a diurnal cycle, seasons, and variations in barometric pressure and temperature with changes in elevation, plus known clusters of wind pillars. Spotty measurements of readings on land on a water covered planet should be enough to make one cynical about the value of averaging variation as a method of analyzing cyclical change ( oops. Cycles are ignored too ! )

It didn't take much reading to find the fly in the ointment. We are not talking about something understood in its various permutations when the summary says

IOW Forecasts and models are not the same as data measurement - which should be basic and obvious.
