He or she also probably has a Facebook or MySpace page, and even uses instant messaging applications. These technologies were once on the fringe, and now they are mainstream because they're easily accesible, compatible, and, of course, useful.

As you move along the wire, toward the fringe, you'll find an inversely amount of users embracing newer technology, searching for the next greatest thing, or becoming the next social media elitist (I don't use that term pejoratively).

My point here is that while the fringe seems like a mess, the technology will all come together nice and snugly as time goes on. Applications that are deemed irrelevant or less useful will disappear, while the rest will meet aggregation and standardization.

Re: My friend with non-hodgkins lymphoma

I believe it's a good idea!

I say: don't worry if you think it's wrong. That's self-doubt, and it's only going to interfere with a thoughtful gesture.

Re: Devindra's Tumblog of the Whatever

Oh my....

The heart and stomach says, "No, god, no!"

But the taste buds and id go, "Yes, oh yes! More! Give it to me! Oh, god yes!"

Re: From the perspective of a game publisher

You're obviously more than capable of expressing yourself in an intelligent manner, but your argument would have more weight if you would leave out the personal insults. It's like you have some personal vendetta as if somebody in the industry had destroyed your pastime, or something like that. Frankly, your attitude sucks and it's doing nothing for this discussion other than bringing it down.

Re: From the perspective of a game publisher

Well said. Well said!

It's like you took my thoughts and expressed them for me.

Kudos!

Re: First-person first-personing...

All you need now is a bland office, a dark and dusky warehouse stacked full of bland looking crates, and, finally, a disgusting sewer (with rats).
