I am the person this article talks about, and I really don't understand how a country who has taken over another nations land can talk about. human rights. such a shame to see. people who kill people and build buildings on them. talk about human rights

Dear Ebrahimi,

I thank you for sharing your views with me. I had no intention of offending anyone. One of the most important lessons that I learned in my life is that I should respect other people's belief. Those who know me would confirm that I would never insult and degrade someone for his/her belief. However, I believe that it is a sin to close my eyes on injustice and cruelty. Government agents raided our home in Iran while my sister was the only one at home. She kindly asked them to come later since there was no one else at home, but the agents threatened to break the door! they came to our home without a warrant! and took some of my father's belongings! As you said Abtahi, Mirdamadi, Tajzadeh (and not Tajbakhsh) are good people and if someone jails them that tells you something about their captor!
My letter was addressed to Ahmadinejad and not his constituency. However, I did want his constituency to know about the pain that he has caused me, my family and other respected revolutionary figures. The fact that Ahmadinejad has supporters doesn't mean that he can't be criticized.
