How many businessmen becom rich off the backs of the illegals who work for lower wages ??? Where is your ourtage against them?? If there were no illegals it would not fix the home eqity crisis, violence in schools, violenc crime, serial killers, credit crisis, boost stock performance, end war in the middle east or help social security . They are just the scapegoat because you are too araid to go after their employers. The want to arrest them instead of only deporting them so they can work in the prison industiral complex and make money for corporations.

It is embarrasing the graduates of Jerry Springer University and their absurd remarks insulting his wife, questionins his religion and citezenship. The media should focus on his banking reform, new benefits to disables vets, education and attempt to bring all nations together instead of the cheap ratings war. The are angy that aat illegals but not at the rich businessmen who make millions of dollars from their cheap labor. Illegals did not cause the poor economy, high crime, higher drop out rates, credit/home equity crisis etc.

I am tired of whites who are obsessed with color . Saying he is not really Black or he is only half-Black and not really understanding what has historically been catagorized as Black by their ancestors. The completet lack of knowledge. There are NO people with the last names of Jefferson /Washigton. I speak of the violent acts of the white Christians who settled this country so will get off your highhorse as if and regognize the hypocrisy of gloriying all of U History and deonizing others. The color issue is part of it becaus there was no outcry when Bush took numerous vacations and he was an international embarassment. There is a lot of macho jealousy of the smooth intelligent Black man like Obama becaus white men felt they were free from having to compete with such an intellectual black man. So now to hide their discomfort they constantly attempt to belittle him, his wife , call her ugly names , attack his family or refuse to give him credit and acknowledge his accomplishments. The atrocities point to the US History you want to ignore while you talk about the great founding fathers. The hypocrisy of demonizing Obama while ignoring the incompetence of Bush is related to his color. Why don't you blog abour the atrocities comitted against Black/minorities ??? It is not socialist to give tax breaks to a people making Hundreds of thousands of dollars a year but it is socialist to give a break to a guy making 40K??? Seems like it is the rich who have a "let them eat cake" attitude. Many Blacks/minorities and foreigners see this constant harrassing of Obama and his family a pure jealousy/racism by whites who have been raised to feel they are superior.

The man is brilliant, highly accomplishe unllike the right-wing red necks who failed to pull themselves up by their own boot straps and reach his level of success. Stop focusing on the fact that both his parents were not of African - descent because to Blacks it is no big deal. THe average Black person is 22 % white due to the rape of Black women for hundreds of years. We all have a mulatto ancestor who lived on a plantation. At the end of the Civil war there were 500,000 mulatto slaves. The Christian founding fathers had time to molest these young girls /women and probably men too. There are no white people with the name Jefferson or Washington because whited did not want to be mistaken for on e of their mulatto slave kids. There is a lot of our own history we need to look at.

You need to view his speech to the disabled Vets. They were thrilled with the added benefits he has given them. Online access to med reciords, much easier ability to get help for PTSS, funds for family counseling and many more. The man is a tre statesmen who is focused on helping these vets instead of playing political games. Go to C-Span to see the entire speech.

You missed the point entirely. THE fact that the average Black American is 22 % white due to the rape of Black women during/after slavery is a well -known fact. ALmost every Black person has a half-white relative and we are used to seeing various skin tones in our families. Whites think that being biracial is new and exotic but to Blacks it is no big deal because you are Black no matter what skin tone. 500,000 mulatto slaves at the end of the Civil War is evidence as well as our own family potraits.

I havent let broken promises of freedom , equality for all , 40 acres and a mule, treaties made with Native Americans, Japenese being held in interrment camp and other broken promises get in my way .

Many of our ancestors never enjoyed those freedoms despite the time effort and taxes , and service to the country. We the native Americans, Latinos and African- Amerians. Obama is our symbol of progress, freedom and an end (hopefully soon ) to racism.

Slavery took off in the 1500 due to the endorsement of the Catholic church. White Christians from various European nations were the slave holders, kidnappers and rapist of 30-40 Millions Africans/Africa.
35,000 trips by the ships which were actually built in Liverpool, England. the only reason some countries stopped slavery before others was for their own alterior motives/economic gains. Hundred of thousand of Blacks/people of color continued to be raped, burned alive, lynched and terrorized by the white Christians/KKK/Nazi etc decades after slavery.

I saw the author of "Slavery By Another name" Thomas Blackmon on cCSpan. The topic is fascination as well as shocking. There are many untold stories that have recently been exposed, Sally Hemmings and Tom Jefferson, Strom Thuron and his conflicted life, the fact that hundreds of thousands of Blacks fought in the Civil War and many Blacks made rapid progress after the Civil WQar until the beginning of Jim Crow and the KKK as well as the decline in Federal Aid to Freedmen.
Triva includes the fact that there are NO whites named Jefferson or Washington because whites at the time did not want to be mistaken by the mulatto offspring of these presidents. THe word "honky" comes from the pratice of white men riding trhough Black areas looking for women to harass/pick up. The curse word mother f------" comes from the practice of rape of Black women during and after slavery.
