Absolutely not! YA readers need to understand war and what human beings are capable of. They can watch violence on tv, in movies, and in video games, but not read about it in books?! That is ridiculous. This is an important YA series, I will stick by that forever.

And I also thought I read that the script wasn't fully complete either?? ahhhhh this is making me nervous LOL!!

Oh I'm not offended! :) I just think you would be surprised to find out how much of THG fandom is actually made up of "Twi-hards.."

But I do agree, I don't think he really belongs in this series...And I'm pretty positive he wouldn't want to join another franchise right off of Twi anyway...the poor guy needs a break from all the screaming! lol

I love Twilight, so I'll have to disagree with you on that. The whole reason I found out about The Hunger Games series is because Stephenie Meyer recommended it on her website. There are a LOT of Twilight fans that are THG fans already, and HP fans as well. I happen to be one of them. I love all kinds fiction, and don't really see the point of the rivalry between all the series. That's just media hoopla creating something out of nothing.

I think Rob is a fantastic actor and would do well in any role, but I just would like to see him in movies that are not marketed towards teens.

I also agree about Jennifer, she was amazing in Winters Bone! She will totally own the role as Katniss!

Well I saw Winter's Bone yesterday...and after watching that, she is definitely capable of pulling off Katniss IMO. Unfortunately, the biggest thing is going to be her appearance. I know the movie people can work all kinds of magic, so I don't doubt that they can get the hair/eyes/costuming down for Katniss....but I do think if she gets the role, they will make her try to lose weight. That makes me sad... I don't like when actors/actresses do that to fit a role, either by weight gain or loss... It just seems unhealthy. :( She is not at all overweight but I can see them trying to make her into a tiny size zero, and that just sucks. I've struggled with weight all throughout my 20's and I'm just not sure that is psychologically healthy for her to have to go through. She's beautiful, I hope that if she gets the role and they do make her change, she keeps that in mind.
