Hashmi. I run Green & White and have known you for 2 years, having lunch approx 1 times a month. You can see that from my Disqus account and my avatar on my facebook page and business cards.

We even made you a job offer back in May for Business Development.

However, considering that you've just LIED publically to try to intentionally DISCREDIT a professional journalist in order to change the perception of PTC in this post, in my view you have zero credibility and honor as a human being and deserve the respect or time of no one.

Whats more, you've completed ruined your own credibility online as well as your clients since now we all know what your real intentions are, PTC - good work!.

This is only proves that Saad uncovered some truth in this and really hit a nerve at PTC.

And in my view, PTC using these underhanded tactics to pressurize journalists only make them that much more pathetic as a coroporation.

Re: Social responsibility requires unified approach, not double standards

Asif, sorry to burst your bubble but you're wrong - Insider info and
protected reliable sources are perfectly valid. Thats why journalists create
insight about a certain topic based on analysis from the information they
can source.
Considering you're from the PR industry, I could very well question your
motives for writing some sharp comments too.

Re: Time to quench our ‘Thirst’?

I should also mention that this presentation won "Best presentation of the year" voted by the slideshare community.

Re: Have Your Say!

Jimmy - the idea's to get people together to figure out solutions together.
You nor I have the right approach to things that the best of us haven't been
able to solve for such a long time - naturally thats why those problems
exist

Re: Nestlé Pakistan - CSR activities are promising

Interesting question - is training women to help increase milk production part of CSR?

Isnt it just part of their regular business if they're only training their own sources?

It will be CSR if they are allowing those women to distribute milk into an open market.

Re: Wow, What an idea….. if only telecom companies thought this way…

Awesome ad - thanks for sharing!

Re: The social responsibility of media - old-school as well as new-media

Yes, certainly smaller blog owners cant check the facts all the time - and its good that in general people try to present a reasonable perspective. But media needs to find ways making us _think_ about issues - not how, but to perform the act itself. As an example I was pretty impressed with CNN's coverage of Autism in a series of very interesting and compelling features - they compelled me to think because they gave me information I didnt know before about the rate at which autism is spreading in the country. If they hadn't, I may not have thought so much about it or may not have formed an opinion about the subject.

Regarding blog posts, I know that bloggers only have limited facts to base their writeups on sometimes, but as a blog starts becoming more important how much more responsibility do they get w.r.t. checking the facts of things online?

Re: CSR Performance 2008 - Planning, Measuring and Demonstrating performance in the CSR function

Thats a good point - maybe we should bring up this issue here on SB - do you
want to write about the issue with some examples? You're right about the political agenda - but is the
solution really for both sides to blame each other or to find a middle
ground? Is there no middle ground?

The corporation wont even try the solutions you mentioned Mansoor because
its not profitable for them to do so. On the other hand - corporations are
apolitical.

Is it possible, ethical, sane for a pharma company then, to approach the
clerics with influence there and ask them to distribute the vaccinations to
the people in a way that is both useful for the companies and the clerics
(assuming they need profits or cash to keep their operations running) -
clerics buy in bulk and sell to people... or am I just crazy-insane for
thinking of a ludacrous idea?

Re: On Polio, Pakistan, Religion, and the right to choose vaccinations

Also on how religious scholars can be trusted to help I suppose.

But Ob how do we start on this practically?
