Thanks for sharing this thoughtful comment Robert. I agree, tying the insight to politics might not be the most effective way to spread it. Still, politics is the major factor that contributed to "teaching" people that they're not in control regarding certain aspects of their life.

My intention was just to paint the status-quo and explore whether there's anything else than responsibility that can enable people to move on and progress.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Adinel. Yes, people do have certain ways of dealing with life, yes a lot of people don't know any better and yes they are immersed in stories that are completely useless for their education.

My question was: "Is there anything else than willpower that will enable these people to take their lives in their own hands (i.e: be responsible)?"

The people that created the visualization classified the innovation clusters using several metrics. This is about raw numbers rather than perception.

It might be useful to make the same analysis (i.e: based on patents, economic value added, number of journal publications, change in labor productivity) in the regions that you mentioned and compare the results with the ones from McKinsey in order to understand whether the lack of press coverage, attention and trust are really the problem.

O sugestie ar fi sa observi ceva ce nu merge asa cum ti-ai dori intr-o activitate pe care deja o faci. Apoi, sa intelegi cauzele care genereaza nemultumirea. Hope it's useful :-)

That's a very good point, but do we actually need a new tablet for that? Apps could be built to allow users to add cross-domain metadata. Or are you saying that this process would be cumbersome?
