But mostly I just never intended for anyone to see this sketch ever and so didn't bother making eyes because I could do that in photoshop without the guidance provided by sketches. I should have the digital version up tonight, I got my new tablet yesterday and I love it. the Bamboo models are so much better then my graphie 3. Plus I got one thats a bigger size then my old one. its 8.5" wide which makes it full of win.

I didn't mean to make you jealous. That little 3x5 tablet served me well up til it died and I went scrambling to replace it to keep my comics flowing. But you will be very happy when the time comes for you to upgrade. The texture on the new models is much more paper like (probably why they include so many extra nibs...)

Though they get rid of the super useful space for the pen to clip into the wacom now, I'm so gonna lose my pen because of that. I just know it.

I know right!? LHC is so amazingly cool. Shooting sub atomic particles into each other at speeds as close to light as we can get. Crashing things together is always cool, doing it and finding the particles that compose a proton is amazing. THe scale of the machine blows my mind. it takes 17 miles of machine to find what is possibly the smallest bit of matter possible.

Ha! I remembered.

Anyways, I didn't quit out of bored. I stopped because I couldn't get the technical issues of multiple account management sorted out. I'm gonna start those back up eventually its like 5 or 6 on the list of things to do for the comic so pretty low priority until I have comics. I didn't bug you to update cause I assumed you wouldn't listen anyways and cause I was in a pissy mood regarding you and I don't really know why...

so onto the idea. I'm a fan of it in concept, as this sorta elaborate fakery is something I enjoy. (e.g. The van zandts, original idea of to-action.com) But I don't know if I'm in on this. It sounds fun, but I don't know if I'd have any follow through on it.

ps. You really need to fix you're main page babe. c'mon.

Eh its ok, but I was having issues with twhirl in that it wouldn't launch properly so I could see the windows. so it kinda fell apart right there. It was really frustrating I ended up having to like rebuild the whole os to fix it. :/

yes. also on the subject of fake people to follow I'm following Shawn and Gus now, the lead characters on psych. :D Shawn is web 2 cause his user name is shawnspencr. Gus's handle was one clearly picked by shawn the character, cause its crutonbuster a play on the characters name which is a running gag.

I also found Lassie! yay. though I'm dissapointed that in his first two posts he hasn't mentioned one of his guns yet. :( He has an almost Navi-esque love of gun violence. thats why he's a cop. In one episode the criminal was foiled when Lassidor pulled a loaded handgun out of a bowl of pistachio nuts (sp?) sitting on his kitchen counter.

Its ok though because he wouldn't pull his gun on a house cat. well unless it was approaching in a threatening manner. He probably wouldn't shoot it, unless it wasn't responding to his commands to stop, and he'd probably fire a warning shot first, try and scare the cat off. But thats really a case by case basis and I'm not comfortable making any decisions right now.

Beta was the only part of the show that really annoys me, because it's magical. It is God in this show. I also don't like it because its the driving force behind the overarching mystery of the plot. I am really burned out on these overly dramatic hidden mysteries. Its something every network does now because 'LOST' did it and it worked for 'LOST'. Except that it DIDN'T work for 'LOST' long term, because because people stop caring about the mystery long before you can narratively reveal the mystery, and the mystery is never interesting enough given the build up. It literally can't be interesting enough no matter what the answer is. They better reveal Beta's purpose early on even if its not to the crew cause otherwise I can't invest in the mystery. It doesn't matter what Beta does because the only interesting question is "why?" which is a question which you are purposefully not given enough to peice it together.

He did find the porn btw. I mean the key was only 512k *rolls eyes* he just had to punch a touch screen enough before he was on his way to punching his own touch screen if ya know what I mean ;). as to why he didn't have the password to a hidden vault that was purposefully left for him? Well Beta works in mysterious ways.

I liked the veteran science guy honestly. Though I can't seperate if I like him because his character on the show, or because I am treating this like a sequel to Office Space, but with more space and less office. He's essentially the same character really.

Also re: the baby, isn't mars guy the father (well bio father, we all know Beta was the real daddy)? if not then she has a really strange and very specific taste in men. I'd have to watch it again cause it was hard to follow the timeline the way they spliced back and forth.

I really need to watch the dual-episode premiere again I guess. The scene about Donner's vascectime is one of the ones I need to pay attention to more closely. I don't recall which state he had believed his parts to be in and what state the doctor informed him they were.

Of course I'm operating the conclusion that Beta is a God of some sort, and that will be the subject of a blog I will write when I get home. I can make a pretty good case of it DG being an allegory for Judeo-Christian religion. :3 Its a more interesting way to interpret the story anyways.

I don't think its been said explicitly, however I wouldn't be suprised if Jen was christian. Also I belive Donner has some sort of religious beliefs but thats only implied.

Honestly though, I am probably interpreting christian overtones where there are just generic religious overtones. But I live in america so assuming that they are using it as a construct to talk about christianity isn't that implausible. Also God is the bad guy, so I guess thats the shows statement. I am also fully willing to admit that I would put this meaning into the show even if it wasn't there. Because based on the values of its Sci-fi, I think its a pretty shitty show. But if I base it on the idea that its about exploring religion then its something I'm actively interested in watching more of.

Also when I am using words like God and Magic I am meaning them in a much more strict definition then how you are interpreting them. they are not things that are just science that we don't understand yet. These are things that defy scientific explanations, because science does not apply to these things.

Uhm, well in Iron man 2 Tony has a whole slew of suits. Didn't you see the preview images!? (http://www.virginmedia.com/... The artist probably knew about that. I'm kinda glad they are making a movieish iron man comic cause that movie was great, and it should be allowed to remake the character proper.

I hope this tony is running from the man arc ends soon. its losing my interest now. Except that osborne is making some form of captian america/iron man hybrid armor. That will be cool to see in action.

Well I don't read any other the other marvel uni stuff so I'm not concerned with with what osborne is doing woulda liked if they explained in the IIM book how osbourne suddenly took over tony's job. :/ But at least it looks like it will end with Tony kicking Osboune's ass with a suit he picked up at the radio shack.

They didn't, something mysterious happens between Stane's legacy and the current arc thats possibly related to the stane thing that forces tony to step down and Osborne of all people to take over. Then tony started running away.

Thats exactly why I don't like them making crossovers canonical. Its one of the ways true hardcore fans are ruining comics XD Thats why I gravitate to the mini-series non-canonical stuff.
