I attended the hearing yesterday. My husband and I have tried to attend every meeting, but it has been over two years since we have received any notifications. I am surprised to read the comment you attribute to Dennis Oost, saying that there has been little input from the public. In fact, there has been a lot of public input over the years, but OPG seems hell bent on shoving this project down Kingston's throat whether it is wanted or not. Those who came from our neighborhood, Hillbend Lane, which is adjacent to the east of Arborwood, expressed strong opposition to this project at the hearing yesterday.</p><p>It was only a notification snafu that prevented OPG from having this hearing include the Development Plan. Thank goodness, this means there will be at least one more hearing. I strongly encourage you to get on the notification list by e-mailing: Karen Ashcraft - kashcraf@co.kitsap.wa.us who works for Kitsap County.</p><p>Many of us spoke in depth yesterday about the very impacts and pressures which "markhanna" mentions above. I can not believe that the County is turning a blind eye to the huge negative impact this project will have on our community.
