I really like this article as an introduction, but I just have to say there was one day when the soundtrack composer didn't show up. It cracks me up every time that they have Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" playing over the Nightless City massacre, because I like to imagine they were like "shit, we ran out of music, what can we put here" and just grabbed something that was in the public domain in China. However, the soundtrack composer's actual work is indeed excellent. I'm particularly impressed with the two versions of "Cleansing" or the "Song of Clarity" or whatever you call it, the good version and the evil version.

Read about Strikethrough and the death of LiveJournal as a fan community, PLEASE. The puritanical Christian groups who get gay content taken down START WITH the "icky" stuff like incest and teacher/student, get people on their side by going "BUT THE CHILDREN," and then end up getting gay content banned WHICH WAS THEIR GOAL ALL ALONG.

I agree. I haven't seen him in several years so maybe it's different now, but he used to have the audience sing the horn parts for "Army," which was a great experience.

Whenever someone asks Trump a direct question, he just deflects it. He turns the question back around on the asker or says a bunch of words that don't mean anything. Nobody can trap him in a logical corner because he doesn't adhere to logic.

I would just like to say that I voted for Bernie in my state's primary because I agree more with his positions, but I am 100% planning to vote for Clinton in the general because she is WAY better than Trump. And I feel like the only one! So many Bernie supporters will just attack Clinton every chance they get, and it seems impossible to have an actual conversation about this. Anyone says anything positive about Clinton or negative about Bernie, and the BernieBros come out like "HILLARY IS A MASS MURDERER / WAR HAWK / RAPIST!!!" (That last one because of her behavior when her husband was accused of rape--which, 1. Hillary is not her husband and 2. Where were all these people when this was actually happening? I'm sure it's just a coincidence that this is being trotted out NOW as a reason not to vote for Hillary.)

I actually like open primaries, but that's because I don't want to register as a Democrat. I don't consider myself aligned with the Democratic Party, but I often vote for their candidates, because the alternatives are Republicans.

I think we should change a LOT about our voting systems, starting with giving people the day off to vote and having all the primaries at the same time, standardizing non-hackable voting equipment, and making it as easy as possible for people to register to vote, but I don't mind open primaries.

I was a gung-ho Sanders supporter at the beginning of his campaign, but ready to switch to Clinton if(when) she won the nomination. I still agree with Sanders' stated positions more than Clinton's, but his "Bernie or Bust" supporters and some of the things he himself is doing have soured me on him. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU DO IT.

When I saw that kitten video on Tumblr I was like "her cat died YESTERDAY? give her some time!" but the article says she was planning on getting new kittens soon anyway, so: I do think this is one time where it WAS ok to surprise someone with a pet!

I work 40 hours a week in a job where I have to be on my feet and moving around (and lifting things) for a good part of the day, and I'm EXHAUSTED. I have depression and chronic pain, so I spend most of my time off work recovering, and of course by the time I've recovered from a week of working, it's Monday again and I have to go back to work. I feel like I'm not living my life. It sucks. I did apply for a transfer to a job that would be less physical, but I don't know if that would help, or if it's going to work and having to be "on" all the time that exhausts me so much. I guess we'll see, or not.

The presence of riot cops before any actual violence starts is awful. It's basically saying "we don't trust this protest to remain peaceful," and when you come in with that mindset, of course violence is more likely to happen.
