I checked in with my sis and she said the brother in law and nephew worked the course. So glad you got through the training and the race. What an accomplishment. I am so dang jealous right now but really happy for you!! :D

Re: 18 miler - yes, on the treadmill

You can definitely do anything if you did 18 on a TM. Did you watch a movie or some shows? I could maybe make it with entertainment (aside from the fact that 18 miles would kill me dead right now.)

I often have those, what was I thinking, why do we do this, moments. We do it so we can brag and blog, oh yeah, and for the all that crap about the health benefits... :D

Re: Oh for the love...

Oh my, that was impressive. Bummer.

Hooray for the little bike rider!!

Re: Sweet 16 Challenge

NICE IDEA!! I'll be rooting for both of you guys. 16 is momentous. As you know, I formally crapped out the week I made it to 13, so I officially can not trash talk beyond this point. :D I hope no one needs to call the wife.

GOOD LUCK, GENTLEMEN!!

Re: Coming soon to a trail near me

No you're outta my league. The feet just can't hack more, it seems. However, if the body is holding up, I have no doubt you can do more. I've often heard not to think about how much more you'd have to do on top of this, think of this as the last 14 of the marathon. It will be difficult at every distance as you work up, but you will be doing it. Okay, tell me to shut up now, no one wants advice from a non-runner who craps out at 14, right? :D

Re: 8 on the 8th

HA HA HA HA HA - awesome. Loved it. Love that someone is finally getting bribery too.

Thanks for running with us in Montana!!

Re: So what's my excuse?

How cute is that? I'd try the sock. You can also go to a podiatrist and get it injected but I probably wouldn't start there, I know a few peeps who have really had good luck with the sock. Do you have the classic, kills when you get out of bed for a few steps?

I hope you get some answers and more importantly, some relief, soon.

Re: Two things that made my day

I love me some skinny cow. :D
