A classic like this *needs* to be shared - the "kids" may have not read it. ;)

Joel Spolsky's piece was written almost a decade ago, but is still as relevant as it was written yesterday. Flow is very important to me and lately I've suffered a lot from the lack of it. Planning to move to a cave house in Granada, away from everything (well, at least from the street and construction work noise), to write some decent code. Using a 3G modem connection, so as long as there's electricity for my laptop, I'm all set!

Re: One reason programmers dislike meetings so much...

It's an old post, but I have to comment. Thank you so much for sharing this find. True every word!

Paul's essay brings to mind an old favourite of mine: "Where do These People Get Their (Unoriginal) Ideas?" by Joel Spolsky, in which he talks about the flow.

http://www.joelonsoftware.c...

Now I'm off to learn more about the Zoop Framework. :)

Re: The Twitter Exploit That Could Have Stolen Your Info and Much, Much More

Oh well, just logged into Twitter only to see tweets about this not being fixed yet. My previous comment still stands though.

Re: The Twitter Exploit That Could Have Stolen Your Info and Much, Much More

Well, I can only tip my hat to you and the Mashable team for contacting Twitter and waiting for them to fix things before going public with your findings. So many people these days are after the scoop regardless of the consequences. Also, good spy work for finding this in the first place, Dave.

Re: The Twitter Exploit That Could Have Stolen Your Info and Much, Much More

I'm guessing you still had to click on the link, Ben? As in: not executed on page load? But yeah, never trust data that comes from a user - in this case Application Website URL.
