She was admitted to hospital recently and released. Now she is only taking water without any sugar.

While Saberi and her family suffer in their Fate, the President uses Cinca de Maya celebration to get some laughs from the press by saying "Parteee Onnn." No questions from the press carps(that's a trash fish, by the way.) Nothing of substance from the SoS (that's abbr for ...)
Yeh, that's right... an American held hostage and fasting for justice in a land that she knows is only using her as a means of political embarassment and as a test of American resolve . Alone? Apparently. Sadly. Party on?

Reference Reagan and the fact he need not say anything for the IranRevos to release the captives they had held since they had come to power... while the good Southerner and Prez J Carter stood still in futility and hopelessness.

In this case, Ms Saberi may very well be willing to die for her cause while our wonderful representatives cringe at taking a stand.

Next are the women in N Korea... heard a word about them?

Darn- we had A-Mini-Jihad in the States last year and we could have nabbed him for war crimes investigations and crimes against humanity and torture. That would certainly have stirred the news carps into a frenzy.

Re: President Obama’s First 100 Days: Our Grade is a B- (Please watch Sophia tonight on BETJ & BET @ 8PM/11PM EST)

Ms N-

Out of ignorance, I am in frustration with the plight of the three female American journalists/ writers who are currently being held and imprisoned on spurious charges by antagonistic regimes.

SoS Clinton has made some innocuous remarks. Some news agencies have voiced their disapproval. To my knowledge there is no independent woman's group taking on the dilemma with any forceful message.

Why are these women being left to dangle in manipulative machinations without a meaningful and authoritative front confronting the evil that has taken them captive?

Might you help bring them to the fore? In your position and with your resources might you provide them with much needed support? It would be a worthy endeavor on your behalf to not allow them to fade into obscurity and indifference.

This is about the American conscience....Thanks N*8

Re: President Obama’s First 100 Days: Our Grade is a B- (Please watch Sophia tonight on BETJ & BET @ 8PM/11PM EST)

Another thing I would relate out of simple prideful spontaneity:

Twice today, I had the chance to thank Armed Service personnel in uniform. I was picking up some N95 respirators to use if my family comes to need them.

I used the words, "Thank you, kind sir, for your service to our country."

One replied, "Thank you, sir, for saying that."

The other said, " You're quite welcome, sir... it's my privilege."

Talk about a thrill going up the spine...

Love your country? Speak it out>>>

Re: President Obama’s First 100 Days: Our Grade is a B- (Please watch Sophia tonight on BETJ & BET @ 8PM/11PM EST)

On the PotUS PCishness I observed or maybe had the impression of a temptation that he was toying with answering a certain question in this manner:

'Hmm, uh, what’s really surprising is that some people believe I am involved in a far reaching power grab to take over this great country and impose some form of, hmm, Marxist society. That I don’t want to see our country flourish and don’t want it to be the shining light, umm, which everyone is searching for in the midst of a worldwide storm. That I don’t love this country more than life and limb and am committed to try with everything I can muster, to be the best President of the United States, mmm, that I can possibly be.

I sure thought for a moment that he was on the verge of saying something like that.

Re: reprinted from theRoot.com Specter to the GOP: Moderate or Die. . .

Anyone question the validity of the term limit argument? I hate to use the words "poster child", but, there they are... arrrgghh!

Some stammering showmen speak squeamishly; Spector switches sides.

Senators shouldn't seek spatial sentiments. Senators should stand for something. Senators shouldn't shove citizens aside. Disappointed citizens should shun cynical Senators.

That's why they don't make good Presidents. Senators sway so easily.

US hostage/ prisoner for ransom Ms Saberi sips sugar solution silently; Senators speak squeamishly.

"It's the only way I can get re-elected" Spence Says "Suck Some Sugar Senators!"

Grannymama used to make us sugar tits to suck on... with butter and sugar in a napkin. Where are all the celebs who can't keep their mouths shut when it comes to criticizing US missteps and pine for a perfect world where there is justice?

Laura and Euna left to linger?

The PotUS and the SOS paralyzed by a couple of pissant dictators while everyone worries about and bemoans pouring water on mass murderers and denying them of a night's sleep... yeh, we did that. Imbeciles!!!

Where's a Senator or Congressman who realizes that they can cynically enhance their stature and further their ambition by standing up for these women and insisting that they immediately be released and brought home?

This IS OUTRAGEOUS!!!

Re: Garofalo on American Tea Parties: Racists Who Hate the Black President–Really?

Whoever this G woman is, she makes great news... for the Neo Dadaists

Celebs may want to be political, but, they lack the skills. This "controversy" is easily put to rest without pious proclamations of "we are better than that" and "we, as a nation, do not torture." Ask any prisoner in the criminal justice system what they think.

Webster: anquish of body or mind; the infliction of great pain esp. to punish or coerce. Hmm... makes you cringe to imagine the possibilities... I was really hungry and they gave me boiled carrots with butter (not margarine) along with my Salisbury steak and I couldn't sleep all night because I was in so much pain! Well, you know, we need some real cuisine in here.

To assert that the procedures were in someway spuriously evaluated, then implemented and haphazardly utilized to try and extricate information from the ones perceived as being of highest value is contrary to the facts. There is no telling (though it appears we will eventually learn) how many experts spent how many hours determining the policy. All relevant members of Congress in Committee were fully briefed and aware and agreed to go forward. This wasn't Bush and Cheney pushing flippant directives down the throats of protesting or detached officials.

As reported, two of these "people" were water-boarded tens and dozens of times. Really? I wonder if the temptation was there to try something more effective? Hey, this just ain't working... can someone please come up with a better way?

How about some real loud music? Let's try Barney's love song for a while>>> "I love you, you love me"

There are many statements here in the "comments" that are not worth rehashing. They have been disproved many times.

(Whistlin' Dadaism)
