Ability to set points in the code where, that line of code is executed, a message and possible data values are written to an output file.
2) log file output and replay. Ability to turn on the functionality to record all operator actions for review and subsequent replay.
3) setting data values. Ability to interactively modify data values while execution is topped.
4) alternate execution resumption points. Ability to resume execution at a point other than the point where execution was halted, either by a breakpoint or the pause button.
