We're seeing much wider text messaging adoption in clinical research as well at Mosio.

From adherence to engagement to data collection, the innovations happening in texting are super exciting. 📱

Re: Wearables set to transform clinical research

This evolution is extremely exciting to watch. We are seeing some interesting integrations when combined with mobile messaging, which can improve engagement, retention, and ongoing communications.

The ability to automate the collection of new types of data and communication with study participants makes research easier and more powerful. We’re just getting started and I can’t wait to see where we go from here.

Re: Text Messaging for Diabetes Care

Great article, Dr. Baig! It’s quite a list of really solid use cases for text messaging in patient communications that benefit organizations as well.

I especially agree with the comment about sustaining engagement. Besides being mindful of message frequency, your content and communications can go a long ways being more personable and by being human.

We are seeing more interest in using emojis and being able to inject names or other patient-specific content into messages. This keeps the communications interesting, engaging, and can even be fun. 🤓

Texting’s simplicity is part of its charm and power. It’s great to see it being used in innovative ways to improve patient communications.

Re: Clinicoin Token Sale

Thanks for your comment, otoman. We're not permitted to talk about exchanges during the token sale as a recommendation from our legal team. We've taken measures to plan out all aspects of our project to ensure the tokenomics work well in a thriving ecosystem. That is to say, we have a plan for everything, there are just some things we're not able to discuss at the moment.

I'm confident upon further inspection you'll see that this doesn't make our project less valid, but more in light of the state of the industry. We've been in business for 10 years and have been working on this project for awhile now, we've taken nearly every move into consideration, even those we've opted not use, such as no pre-sales, whitelists, minimums, affiliate or referral programs. Thanks so much for your question!

Re: Are Site-Less Trials the Future of Clinical Research?

Great article, thanks Craig! Site-less trials are definitely the way of the future, especially following the increased usage of telemedicine in healthcare. Mobile technologies are helping to drive the change and make it more feasible. A slight correction, if I may: Science 37 is another "site-less only" CRO in the space. Thanks again!

Re: Thinking Like an M&A Expert: 7 Tips on Aligning Yourself with Potential Acquirers

Thanks for this post, John. I'm excited to read your piece on leveraging biz dev for strategic exits and have a question about that: have you seen any buy-side cases where a potential m&a suitor reconsidered because they found out a company was serving one or more of their competitors? If they didn't reconsider, did they reduce the value of the company because they figure owning it may result in the loss of revenue generated by those competitors as clients?

I don't know how many companies using a great vendor would immediately decide to stop using that vendor if they found out they were then owned by the competition, but obviously it happens. Thanks again.

Re: Episode 126 Controlled Tenacity with Noel Chandler

Hi Paul, thanks so much for our time together. Quick question: do you have a rule of thumb for researchers to ensure they meet recruiting goals when it comes to potential candidates? As in "for every 100 volunteers, we need X to respond to our marketing." I hope that makes sense, just wondering how you gauge what to shoot for, considering there is always going to be drop off from people who don't qualify. Thanks!

Noel Chandler, Mosio

Re: Text messages: The workhorse of mobile health?

Great list of examples! Text messaging will continue to be the ultimate "killer app" on the mobile phone, even as it evolves via iMessage and messaging apps. It is ubiquitous, instant and while it encourages brevity, it enables quick access to more in-depth content or communications via mobile web links, clicking on a phone number to make a call, etc. Exciting to see it evolving.

Re: OnePoint offers surveys via text message

Amazing how long ago it this was posted and yet text messaging surveys are more useful now than ever! Software developers are under pretty consistent pressure to continue adding features, even though so much of the time they are unnecessary.

I think the key takeaway is: Can you begin using it immediately? If it's simple to jump in and get started, there's a greater chance of it being well-designed as you move along and get more familiar. The software companies that shine the most let the user jump right in and get started, but also offer great customer service to get you up, running and comfortable.

Re: Elad Blog: M&A Ladder: Position Your Startup To Sell it For More

Thanks Elad, this is great! We put together a free informational program for libraries a few years ago as more of them got budgets slashed and forced layoffs. To be honest I'd wished things had turned out better than planned. We found typically that the costs to get up and running plus monthly fees prevented many of them from getting started.

Not to say they are way overpriced, but it was an interesting thing to watch. While we hear about the massive success stories of the Red Cross, etc, it will have to be the collective small organizations benefitting before text messaging donations can truly be seen as having a big change on philanthropy as a whole.

Re: DuPont will send special text alerts to contractors from HVAC Comfortech show|

Great use of text messaging leading up to a conference!
