While I do think Batman 3 would be nice in 3D I understand Pfister's complaint. Let me say I love 3D but it's not perfect. I have one problem with 3D at this point and that is blury backgrounds.It occurs far and few between but i have seen it in most films, yes even Avatar. In films like Inception and the Dark Knight background is important. If they do a test of a large scale sequence in 3D and they believe that 3D worsens the experience of the scene at hand then I will be fine with no 3D. However if the quality is better I hope we do see a native 3D film for Batman 3 but if the quality is worse I would much rather a 2D film. Yes Pfister is wrong for not even considering 3D but if he and Nolan believe that 3D makes the film look worse then I say 2D is fine.

yes but the cinemotagrapher and nolan both preferr filming in 2D.... so unfourtunetly dont excpect native for Batman 3. I also am not sure if Nolan will even want to conversion so I see a few things that may happen.
1. Nolan changes his mind and films in native 3D
2. Nolan sticks to filming in 2D and does post conversion. He of course does it right.
3. Same as 2 except Noland does not handel the conversion directly and it is terribly done.
4. WB says do what you want and he does not film in 3D or post convert.
5. WB says its our way or the high way and Nolan leaves the project.

I am hoping for choice 1,2 or 4. If either 3 or 5 happens i will be verry mad at WB.

I loved AVATAR and will see a sequel if it can produce a great and understandable story. My main plot problem that I have heard on the sequel is how are they getting to other worlds. I will be patient however as we await more news on a sequel/

Oh well i guess i will have to relay on some one else for new on Tron, Harry Potter and a few other 3D pannells. Glad to hear its in the work for next year though.

I am glad that they are not bring back Will and Elizabeth... that story line was wrapped up nicely. However i do think the 3d of this could be effective. This is native correct?

Dalmations isn't big enough id think for them to spend the money on doing, Mulan maybe, deffenitly Snow White, a maybe on Sleeping Beauty, I hope not on Stich and your missing some big ones. Cinderella, Alladin, Little Mermaid, and Peter Pan. I can hope and pray for Fantasia but that one probally wont happen. I hope pixar does more also... I missed the toy story double feature and up in 3d but toy story 3's 3D was phenomenal. I want to see Monsters Inc., Incredibles, and Finding Nemo 3D rereleases. I bet we will see Monsters Inc. and unfourtunetly Cars before their sequels

Yates is also rumored to being considered and his last film, Half Blood prince, is my favorite of the series. I think it would be great if either he or Jackson directed.

until some one makes a movie that does not have blury backgrounds in 3d i will only see 3d for certain things... for instance How to train your dragon and shrek 4 i will see in 2d. same with tron 2 if i see it all. Only things i will see in 3d are HP7 and TS3. and Inception if that gets post conversion

I am going to need a lot of convincing before i will even consider seeing this movie in theathers. I loved AVATAR but I did not go for the visuals alone... I went for the incredible story. Sure it was Pocahontas in space but it was well done which is why i loved it.

Avatars nomination is historic as it is the first film to be nominated for best picture without any acting award nominations or screenplay nominations. I think it is a lock for everything but cinematography as I believe that Half Blood Prince greatly deserves that award.

Edit: I stand corrected on two things. 1. It is not a lock for best director as I think that may go to Bigelow. 2. Beauty and the Beast did not have any acting or screenplay nominations. If it wins then it will be the first to do so with out any of those nominations.

and the background of avatar was out of focus and not very 3d like at times too... dont get me wrong the movie was great a 10 out of 10 but i did notice that... also i feel that the technique that alice is using fits it. Wonderland is supposed to be a dream world and that is what it looks like. as for your comment about it not being steroscopic is wrong mearly for the fact that the glasses it uses.
