we do the beach with Thom's family every year!! There are now 26 of us if we all show up,lol. It is amazing because they (we) are all practicing authentic Christianity....so everyone is serving and helping and loving one another...it is pretty phenomenal. The added benefit is the multitude of conversations that are going on at any one time! You can get in on theological debates, or homeschooling conferences, recipe swaps, or creative job hunting idea exchanges...okay there are a few "share with your cousin" discussions too!!
I love my family. can ya tell?

I am an army brat too!! It took years of living in our town to finally put down some true roots...we had someone prophesy that we were "like potted plants, healthy but not put down in the ground." I wonder how many of us are afraid to put down anything feeling like permanent roots?
Jesus is good! and He is our permanent home wherever we go, right girls??

haha, once on a trip to williamsburg with my kids I let my 13 yr old son pack for his brother.....we arrived with no underwear and only play clothes that were too small (read worn out, stained, and too small).....to spend a week sightseeing with my parents!!! (I had a horrible UTI show up the day we were to pack...that is my only defense.) Needless to say, the first stop on the sightseeing tour was the Bugle Boy shop at the mall.

your brother's place sounds wonderful!!

haha, my husband says that facebook is like looking at your friends lives written out on post it notes! I signed up so that I could look at allllllll the photos that my kids have posted of themselves and their friends. sometimes they put stuff on fb before they even get home from doing something! Gloria, I will be your friend!!

Carol, you can always highlight things on the page and then they will be seen in a bright contrast... if that is what you prefer....try it. :-)

I also came home amazed! I was amazed that I am going to be allowed to serve the women of Wellspring along side these phenomenal women on the board, I was amazed at His ability to knit us together so completely and at His goodness! Whoo hoo!! God is moving and it is gonna be fun and exciting!!

I think the best thing about hobbies is the satisfaction one gets from
the creative process. Creating anything brings us closer to the One who
created us! We get to participate in His nature...and maybe understand a
little better His satisfaction when He said, "it is good!" I think I'll
go do a little embroidery! Thanks Joanna!
