Yeah, I haven't seen them claim biodegradable just be really not-straightforward about the fact that they're not. But their mixes are super fun and oddly grown up for glitter (plus there are way more choices than Glossier). I like that they can be used in a heavier or lighter application as well. And I'm really enjoying their 12 days of artists!

Oh, I read that post. It's worded really oddly. The first part basically says, glitter is a such a small part of the plastics issue that it's NBD, and the second part then says that why yes their glitter is made from some PET plastic (aka polyethylene terephthalate), but that it's fine because biodegradable glitter (the kind most people are referring to is made from plant cellulose) isn't much better and requires similar conditions to degrade, so therefore, the two are similar and PET glitter is NBD. I'm not a chemist so I know nothing about the conditions in which PET and cellulose will degrade, but I'm willing to bet that the cellulose based material will degrade within the digestive systems of many animals without harm (ie, animals digest plant cellulose, we don't digest plastic).

I don't know anything about PET being used as a film forming agent in cosmetics, but I will say this: if you count Lemonhead as biodegradable, you can count Glossier's product as biodegradable as well, because they're using the exact same plastic glitters. You can look at the ingredient lists of both products. Either way, Lemonhead advocates in that same blog post that you wipe the glitter off with a tissue instead of washing it down the drain.

Hey! I love Lemonhead LA as well, but just wanted to point out that their product is not, infact, biodegradable: every single one of their products, including their highlights, include polyethylene terephthalate, aka plastic. I always use a kleenex or something similar to remove it, and then toss that, instead of washing down the drain.

I am obsessed with The Row; I haven't seen Victoria Beckham bags in person, but maybe they'll be getting better. Her clothing is getting more adventurous/more voice so I feel like maybe her bags will start to get more interesting too.

Hi! I think this is part of my frustration right now: it just seems like it’s easy for startups to forget about the rest of the world, and just worry about catering to people like themselves. It seems like as the startup scene has exploded in the last few years, so as it becomes bigger it becomes easier to forget that.

Not a fan of the backpacks actually. They're just literally garbage bags with a drawstring on the top. I think a more unique shape or interpretation would've been nicer.

Same. I guess the problem with these ones is that they tried to maintain some of the "grungy" feel of the originals, but I think all of these would have been much nicer if the "hidden" hardware was complimented with some cleaner lines, possibly a little more structure to the bag.

I love that pixelated pattern! I may do that sequined pandora box bag... Kinda bummed that they're not doing the backpack in that pixelated pattern. It's so cool, and leopard skin is just, ugh. Usually such a fan of Givenchy, but those leopard skins and western style bags are not doing it for me. Even though I like the redesign. I have the Lucrezia in a light pink, and those ridges are looking a bit worn, so I imagine this design will age better.

Does anybody find it annoying that you have to turn it on its side to open it? Or does stuff mostly not fall out? I always overstuff my bags so I'd imagine even with an internal gusset stuff would fall out.

Idk about the bags, a bit too plain for me, but the straps are cool. The one-sided animal print and the knot piece. But I wonder if they get weird after use.

Yup, the handwriting is impossible. Most designers I know write in all caps because it's *easier* to read, but this is obvs not the case here. Still, a fan of the 10 Crosby bags, something unique about the shape. Can't wait to see the bags she's mentioning for resort 2016

Yeah, I'm not a fan of these... The Chevron isn't great, it's just, whatever. I think some of these bags would be better with a little bit deeper quilting. Others, like the top handle bag, feel a bit like they're trying to pick up on some of the other aesthetics that are coming out, but it just feels a bit odd. They remind me a bit of Chloe for some reason, not sure why. The girls are just, meh. Very Jeremy Scott of them. There's a version of this that could maybe work, but it's too literal in this incarnation. The shape itself would maybe work. As for the grunge effect bags, I thought the Chanel backpack was overpriced for what it is, and it's still true for this incarnation.
