I do it daily... I cover all genres and the lyrics are always ridiculous... I did a opera-ish version of a Danny Boy style song the other night and my boyfriend thought it was real. Life should always be fun!!

Re: It's not just about the food

Actually I haven't met up with them. To tell you the truth I have never seen them at any of the raw food things. I don't know if they are just less active now or what. I have met Anthony from RawModel, but he really isn't in MPLS too often.

Re: It's not just about the food

I am based in Minneapolis, MN. Have you checked out my blog? There is not a huge community here, but it is growing. I used to be able to have potlucks once a month, but I am unable to until Summer... which I am looking forward to. I had a lot of people attending my potlucks ... about 25 - 30 people per potluck. So there is a lot of potential here and I do have raw food friends that I get to hang out with! I can't complain... plus we have good co-ops... I guess my one complaint is cold weather.

Re: It's not just about the food

Yay. Love it. I completely agree... after a certain point it is somewhat boring to only discuss the nutritional content of certain fruits/vegs. Living healthy in all areas of life is truly important. . . but, I do agree that at first it is nice to have a community where the new interest can thrive and grow into a new lifestyle that supports healthiness is all areas.

Re: Invasion of the body snatchers

ah! I shop all the time when I am hungry.. it is better for me because I crave fresh fruits and vegetables.. that way by the time I get home I have all fruits and vegetables and plenty of them...which is much better than having to make multiple trips back to the grocery store later on that week to pick up some mushrooms for a faux meat dish. Plus, if I have a ton of fruits and vegetables ready for me to eat in the fridge I am less likely to waste some money at jamba juice or at our local raw food restaurant, which charges way too much!

good point though..

Re: Feeling hot, hot, hot

Shannonmarie, you are such an inspiration.
