You should not run such long distances to train for a marathon. You should focus on 10 to 16 kms training, to work on your cardio, then, if you are consistent with it, 2 to 3 times a week, you should be able to run for 4 hours.

To avoid aching, you must drink a lot of water before and after the training. You also need to stretch properly before and after. I also like in order to train climbing to do squats with light weight, to strengthen your legs, it will help.

Re: Join us in New York or live in video this thursday 9am eastern time

That looks nice, it seems you are readapting what Seesmic was in the early age isn't it? Of course, if you are a big corporation, you could always leverage your customers' data base, and have a great marketing campaigns which would generate you leads, but a community needs to be active. It isn't a sprint but more like a marathon, and therefore it isn't an efficient way to create a community.

I like what Looneo did in France by creating its community.

Re: Can you "build" a community?

I believe indeed it is very difficult to build a community, however, I think it is possible to build a community.

Of course you need passion, but you can generate enthusiasm if you propose something that will actually matters to your potential community. Facebook has started its community from scratch. So did Wikipedia. As a matter of fact, some brands struggle to generate a community for two main reasons:

- First, because most of the time they are creating a community which is a copycat of Facebook or a blog platform, that wouldn't create no added value to customers.

Re: The Twitter Traffic Machine

Thats crazy, very dangerous indeed, I have noticed already couple of people spamming on Twitter, and maybe actually Seesmic desktop might be the appropriate solution for spam filtering...

Re: Social Media Landscape

I have checked out briefly your blog, I am going your RSS feed to my netvibes.
