Works great, I used it last night, setup using the desktop client, but also let me use Shoutoo from my Xbox 360.. A great addition.

My personal preference for chat is for desktop applications. I found that although I tried out Facebook's chat when it first launched, I don't like having a browser open the whole time, given I'd usually be on a different tab anyway.

If you integrate chat into the desktop app I'm much more likely to use it..

Just my 2 cents, will be interested 2 hear other people's thoughts.

This is available from the Playstation Store on the PS3. Unfortunately I haven't seen it available in the Xbox 360 version.

I agree, although someone has to go first. I don't think consumers have ever been more conscious of data rates / plans than right now, so it's a great opportunity for companies to get it right.

No doubt the iPhone will become the highest used mobile browsing platform in Aus, like it has in the US.

Many of my friends aren't into technology, not sure they'd be that keen to have their photos online, so rather than post photos of my actual contacts, I decided to go with online celebrities who's photos have are already online.

I checked PS Australia's site before posting, but they had no information about 2.41 on their site. So no, not that I'm aware of. Not exactly sure how people with bricked consoles would apply this update if they can't even get to the System Update item in the menu.

Thanks for your comment, I'll check out playback through Miro and see if we can't do something about the audio quality. Not sure if they're doing some type of compression on the video. If this is the case, it may be out of my control.

That's the next upgrade, I'd love the Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000, but at $400+ it's hard to justify.

I think Apple just needs to communicate to their audience. No doubt
there's a good technical reason for the delay, they just need to let
us know things are going to be delayed prior to the scheduled release
date, and provide consumers with an ETA.
