Essential information is missing from the article: How many credits had Christie Williams earned from previous college work? Also, how much credit did she “earn” from “nontraditional sources”?
I am green with envy towards Williams and other people who got quickie degrees, especially when I consider how long it took me to get a couple of degrees (B.A. and M.A.). However, anything that will help break the antiversity's monopoly is to be lauded.

Tema Smith’s “thing” is a black supremacist, blood libel. Nobody murdered Eric Garner or George Floyd.

She had to reach back 66 years to Emmett Till, in order to find a case of a real White-on-black murder. But she even lied about the Till case! It wasn’t a lynching, because Till’s killers had not planned on murdering him, and there was no mob involved. They’d planned on beating him to a pulp, for what he had done to Mrs. Carolyn Bryant. When Till persisted in refusing to apologize, Roy Bryant and his half-brother, J.W. Milam, shot him dead, and threw him in the Tallahatchie River.

It is unlikely that Bryant or Milam “mutilated” Till. That was likely the fishes’ doing. However, it has been fashionable since at least William Styron’s novel, Sophie’s Choice, to embellish on what Till’s killers did to him. (As if the facts weren’t bad enough!)

In any event, lynching or no, Bryant and Milam were guilty of kidnapping, assault, and murder, and thus should have hanged.

Carolyn Bryant never “recanted.” Her husband and brother-in-law hadn’t murdered Till, because of something she’d told them. She and her sister-in-law, Juanita Milam, had
deliberately refrained from breathing a word to them, for fear of what they might do to the boy, whom she had taken for a man (his uncle, Moses “Preacher” Wright, said Till “looked like a man”). They had learned of Till putting his hands on Mrs. Bryant from witnesses, all of whom were black.

The “recantation” was a hoax invented by a White, fake historian from Duke, Timothy Tyson, who had also supported the Duke Rape Hoax.

All Tema Smith seems to know how to do is lie.

blacks lynch Whites all the time, not generations ago, but Tema Smith will never write about such cases. Just two weeks ago, Phillip Adams slaughtered six Whites.

The criminal justice system railroaded an innocent White policeman in a show trial, but that’s not “justice” for Tema Smith. No fewer than eight members of Officer Chauvin’s own department, including its racist, black chief, committed perjury, in order to railroad Chauvin, but that’s still not enough for Tema Smith.

You could slaughter every White in the world, and Smith would still scream about “the legacy of White racism.”

Excepting the White communists, who seek to annihilate their own race, White people aren’t the problem. There is such a thing as “systemic racism,” but its victims are Whites and Asians.

That's nonsense. You have no sense of history or race relations. The only time we had relatively peaceful race relations was before the so-called civil rights movement. "Relatively," because since manumission, blacks have hunted Whites like prey.

Because they're cowards and opportunists. The Republicans are the reason we're in a totalitarian, racist dictatorship. For over 60 years, as the communists, er, Democrats marched through one institution after another, the Republicans always surrendered. The GOP has been completely reliant on White votes, yet they (including President Donald "Platinum Plan" Trump) have never failed to stab ordinary Whites in the back.

False dichotomy. Robin Washington is trying to force the reader to choose between false alternatives. There has never been a scintilla of evidence that Officer Derek Chauvin was “a racist cop,” much less that he went “rogue,” nor that there was any personal element to what happened that day.
Washington’s racial bias is clear when he acts as though violent, convicted felon and drug abuser George Floyd hadn’t passed a counterfeit $20 bill, while heaping baseless accusations on top of each other, in order to try and help railroad an innocent, White cop.
“I’m not suggesting that witnesses have lied on the stand.”
Of course, witnesses lied on the stand! Start with the Minneapolis PD chief and the lieutenant, both of whom perjured themselves, in denying that what Officer Chauvin did was SOP, which he had been trained to do at the police academy, and which MPD officers had done many times.
Club owner Maya Santamaria is clearly an opportunist, who jumped on the pro-Floyd, anti-Chauvin bandwagon. If Officer Chauvin were such a racist monster, Santamaria would have fired him on his first night on the job. Had she been called by the state, the defense would have shredded her on cross.
Why did Officer Chauvin use the standard tactic for nine minutes?
Because the EMTs went to the wrong address. But this can’t be news to anyone who’s been following the case.
Washington’s closing hype is shameless. Officer Derek Chauvin played no role in the death of George Floyd, who killed himself with a massive drug overdose.
This was not an auspicious debut essay.

official autopsy on Floyd, and is instead calling half-a-dozen fake medical “experts,”
none of whom performed an autopsy on Floyd.
