Mitchell just spit in the face of all women and homemakers and yes, even suburban moms. Who do you think controls the funds in the household? Who, more than moms knows what it takes to fill up the van to take the kids to soccer practice or kids where they go?

This is the most asinine statement a liberal can make. Women, let them know just how wrong they are, they are painting you in a bad light.

"This is not a pick for suburban moms. This is not a pick for women." WHAT? Are you thinking?? The wives of BOTH of the Republican candidates (pres/vp) ARE women and they ARE suburban moms. They are BOTH stay at home mothers, so that says something about their commitment to their families. BOTH are highly educated and intelligent women. How in the WORLD do you see that their husbands aren't supportive of women, in general, and suburban moms, specifically?!

Jewel: These two women you hold so dear have a choice - staying home and raising their families. Great! Now about real life, honey. I know many women who have no choice, except maybe go on limited welfare funding, and that's not a GO either, according to you non-thinking, name calling repub/tparty people. You don't know, first, what you all are talking about, and 2nd, you don't know what you want. I sounded like you and the other posters here until a person took me to a women's shelter; then a while later to a soup kitchen. After that I didn't have time to "do lunch," too busy trying to make up for the years I sounded as you and yur kind. You parrot what you are told to parrot. Well, Andrea, when you roll out of bed each morning in your million dollar mid-town home in Manhattan after spending the night with the former Chairman of the Federal Reserve and sit down to coffee and breakfast that is probably made for you and take the limo to work I suppose it's a bit difficult to connect with those suburban mom's.

I was, since I first saw Mr. Paul Ryan, that he would be the choice. Our fed. gov't needs financial overhaul - what a wonderful choice. I am more optimistic already about our gov't.

lets see WHO is Andrea Mitchell? Oh a commentator on MSNBC the most liberal based media on TV. I understand she herself makes 12 million a year. to put out such garbage as this. Stay at home Mom's are usually the family accountant,, make the family budget, organize activities for the kids, (family), cleaning ladies, run a laundry, babysit, teacher, and many other chores, they do NOT get 15min-1/2 hr breaks morning and afternoon, they do not get 1-2 hour lunches in a fancy restaurant without interruptions. so Andrea Don't attempt to speak for stay at home or suburban Moms, They are the ones that when the kids get older that volunteer at the hospitals, schools, and nursing home, yes Volunteer. They are some of the most savvy people in common sense and do know what is going on in the world, They care. Not to put down working moms at all, as they some of them do pretty much the same, they are not in the million dollar jobs tho.. Of course it's to the base, WE the people ARE the base., Don't lie to us, we'll know...

Why even worry about appeasing the "Lame-stream Media" people??? It's not even worth the time. Even if the Republican party offered up a female African-American with homosexual tendencies, they would still find fault with that candidate. Why? Because they're Republican! Birth control is readily available to low income women at no cost now, but what the liberal media doesn't go on to say is that the majority of the women to whom it is available DO NOT WANT IT!!!!!

As a woman, Paul Ryan/Mitt Romney do not speak for me. I am a hard working middle income (if you can still call it that) voter. They are against everything I believe in and I can't say I wasn't shocked by the pick when I found out what Ryan is all about.

I am SO SICK of liberal candidates and the media making assumptions on my behalf. I am a straight single woman in my 30s with no children. I own my home and car and have a fairly decent job. I also happen to be conservative (bordering on Libertarian). In this age of "political correctness" how dare they stereotype me into some political ideology simply because of my gender? Or worse, assume to speak on my behalf because of it?
I am thrilled to have Paul Ryan on the ticket and would take him 100 times over anyone in the Democrat field of 2008.
"Not a pick for women." No Andrea, not a pick for LIBERAL women. Thank God.
