It is a nice smartphone at its price with a decent camera and nice overall operation.

Atul, you have to have the phone NOT in mass storage mode if you want to use the PC sync software.  After much agony and many failures, I finally figured that out! :)

It's a nice phone but having a few problem which I am unable to sort out. On connecting the mobile with PC using the USB cable I, SD card is not getting recognized although I have enabled USB debugging and mass storage only. Also, contacts and all are not getting syc with the PC. If anybody have any idea please give me solution.

I am planning to buy an android phone by this week, i have done few research and narrowed it down to two lg optimus one and samsung galaxy fit,now i have to make a choice between the two,the main concerns for me include
1)what will be the sound quality,which one would be better.
2)and i heard samsung android UI is slightly better than lg one is that true
3)what abt screen resolution while browsing,without zooming can i read in lg,because gal fit u have to zoom i think so
4)i will be using the phone for some text editing,so which one would will be better.

As per latest update from LG, they are saying LG Optimus One is not upgradable to Android 2.3 where sources are saying it will have!!

I like this phone, it is available in 11,500/- in Ahmedabad.

Is this phone worth buy??

No. pls dont buy it.. bcz i bought one on 28th july.. till today i have been running to  service center and they are not giving satisfactory solutions for the problems iam facing.. the major drawback of this phone is it will switch off if p you run call recording aplications.. it  heat up badly during downloading two or more applications at same time.. and most amazing is the technitions will stare at u if go them with these complaints..

hi guys.. Ive bought a lg optimus phone jus two days back.. And guys its awesome!! Loved all features.. :) but m bit unsatisfied abt batteryll :( i chargd phone 4 first tym for three hours n it showd battery full! Within half a day of usage, battery reduces.. Usage includes lots of texting n an hour of call..! Any suggestions on how to increase battery life??

Nice choice you bought LG Optimus One, I think with Advance Task Killer application you can kill unnecessary application which might run in background. This is how you can improve battery life.

Please share your experience on this phone.

I called LG customer care regarding Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) update, and they replied It can be updated in February month, again not given any specific date. But surely LG Optimus One will get 2.3 udpate.

In my opinion every mobile has its pros and cones and comparing one phone to another is foolish.For selecting a phone you need to know only three things which will decide your phone.
1- what brand you like
2- what features you require
3- what is your budget.

I had bought LG optimus one a week back. With usage of 3 hrs GPRS & 2hrs( max)battrey lasts for 12hrs only. LG service centre response is worst as they keep phone for one day under observation and revert is everything fine.

I seriously not recommend LG Optimus One after such a worst backup.

What wrong i had done for my first anroid?

LG guys you really need to improve customer satisfaction.

thanks for such a review covering almost all the aspects. i had purchased L G optimus in dec and when i synchronized with MS outlook it proved a disaster for my contacts. The photos had gone and many contacts gone and even few information of contacts gone. I was shocked and resold the phone in disgust and kept using my window phone.
when i read your review i am again attracted towards it. can u tell me following points:-
1. what should i do to regain my original window format of contacts. it is still in the android format.
2. i send more sms' than calling. i want to know how many applications are available in android relating to sms'. is there any for delayed messages. i send group sms', can we select groups to send sms'? Also can v select contacts for sending sms' as there is option in many nokia phone?
3. is there any applications in which we can record conversation?
4. what about window 7 phone. is it better than Android 2.2 or 2.3. Till now i had been a window phone user. O2 my favorite.
please advise.

I have always landed in trouble when syncing contacts , mail on a non-windows phone with exchange. I think its more of the problem with exchange rather than the phone.still nokia is king in messaging. you can search in android market. 1.Screen resolution is better 320X480 pixels
2.Better color
3.Slightly Bigger screen
4. FROYO 2.2
5.Officially announced 2.3 upgrade (in the days to come)
6.Performance and battery back up is much better !!

We can use our customized touch app to make the touch experience smoother.. You should try launcherpro in lg optimus one or go launcher.

there is no flash support .. so it wont work .. but direct file download will it .

Awesome Mobile...... Experienced by myself..... Brought it for myself on new year..... Everyday I find something new about this mobile..... Android 2.2 is awesome...... I love the Google logo which is their on back cover.

Great Phone ,Great functionality,Great OS Andro 2.2 only the flash is not available otherwise it rocks ! I hope 2.3 will include Flash support in future.
