I been there, done that, felt that. A great seeking alpha quote and you sharing your personal experience is appreciated ... the real world of a trader, but hopefully short lived. This needs to be respected if you have not experienced this trading phenomena. A miserable experience but a valuable education. I can respectfully say, I am thankful those days are over.

Re: Remembrance of Those Lost on This Day

Thanks for the POR alert! ... bought some yesterday. I still have ED. Utility sector, the lagging sector, MAYBE turning around here. We will see. Have a good day.

Re: Remembrance of Those Lost on This Day

Yes ... you are correct: Utility sector weak. ED was a bottom-fish, enty level trade and divy trade. I will add to ED at 50 day Weekly, and add tight stop if this occurs. When will SPY cross 147 with volume?? Nervous and impatient that SPY has not crossed yet. I bought TZA as a hedge. And looking at short NKE as it nears its 50 dma. I also own GPS and GLW. Not my typical divy trade but good looking base on GPS. Sold AOL for a small loss (Remember, I am a chicken trader :) ). AOL basing is good too. Good luck trading, FD. Have a great week-end.

Re: Remembrance of Those Lost on This Day

ED - entry position in ED here @ 59.18. 58.82 is 50 day Weekly - ED is a Utility sector stock. Great divy stock. x-divy .60/share about 11-15-12. Utility sector has been lagging the overall market and other sector.

Re: Remaining Lazy Till Labor Day

sold CTL - +.70 cents ... not waiting to earn .73 divy if I hold thru Thursday. Three day consolidation for KO maybe ready to go up now. The last day of the month has been negative more often than not for some time, with the beginning of the new month trending positive -- of course probabilities are only that -- there are unfortunately no absolutes."

Thank you Brinkley ... wherever you are. :)

Re: Remaining Lazy Till Labor Day

CTL - divdend is .73 ... x-divy day is Sept. 7th, Friday. Anticipating CTL to move up toward x-divy day. entry postion today 42.10 near the 20 dma. Not necessary to capture Divy ... may sell the day before x-divy day. We will see. Stop @ 41.60 just below yesterday's low."The plan" (Very few trades this month. I have some free trades left with ME.)

Moved stop up to 41.80

Re: Remaining Lazy Till Labor Day

Ahhh ... story of my life... been there too many times. SPY is set up for a break out higher, but needs volume. The short interest is at record lows. Market is in a holding pattern. Normally we expect to see money flow into the laggard stocks and small caps, but there is limited money flow.
Use plenty of sun-block.
