I agree that we do have a long way to go, and I'm sorry not to have done more sooner.

I can't speak for Greater Good, but at Hop Studios, we have always tried to develop Web sites that worked in ways we believed were accessible -- with clear and legible interfaces, working across devices, on fast and slow networks, without requiring add-ons, with alt text in place and proper use of semantic HTML tags, and so on... Good practices yes, and friendly and useful for those with disabilities, to be sure, but not exhaustive or systematically reviewed. Certainly, some issues for some site visitors would never have been resolved that way.

To really dive as deep as we went this time, and to have the budget to do so, is something for which we rarely have been given a mandate by our clients.

We found that there were many things our Greater Good work was already doing well -- we weren't an "F" but neither were we an "A", so to speak. Now, thanks to them, we've taken what we learned, and we already have been able to apply it to more of our clients, in some cases transparently to them. In other cases it has led to a more buttressed case for why they should do it, and how they can do it efficiently and effectively.

I totally understand why you feel like there's so much further to go, and there is. I'm actually thankful for the legal push that's moved us ahead to where we currently are, and for the Greater Good leaning into it as well.

Yes, we can do that. If you're moving the whole Web site, you are actually migrating to AWS as well as S3... You shouldn't need to change the links, so long as you are migrating the domain name. Call us and we can assist as much and as specifically as you'd like!

No, you can target subfolders. You probably don't want each to be its own bucket.

No, you can set CE_Img to use S3 for the modified assets as well, so no versions are stored locally. See Step 4.

The application is version 2.7; the add-on is version 2.3. If you download the application, it comes with a copy of the most up-to-date add-on.

If you mean, you can't get ce_img to parse your "Assets" tags - that's probably something to do with the proper use of the assets template tags. If you mean, img_ce isn't using Amazon S3 to store and serve resized images, that's something more to do with your config file and the ce_img options in it.
