Aren't we a little harsh on Facebook here? "Stealing" ideas? Yeah, they implemented something that FriendFeed and Twitter already have. So what? Businesses have been copying each other since the beginning of time. As far as "ripping off", well we don't know yet what Facebook will do with its Like feature. They may use the data for something different than what Friendfeed does and may even be an innovative one.

Hulu does NOT mean 'butt' in Indonesian language. I don't understand where this hubbub is coming from. Hulu, in Indonesian language, loosely translated is a high place, or upriver.

Yahoo Go is still out there, but I haven't seen any improvements on it since the launch. Now there is this redesigned Yahoo Mobile. It seems to me like everything Yahoo does is half-assed. Yahoo Calendar is another example. Sure, you can still use it, but the sync program is archaic. Yahoo Mail is full of bugs, I have to delete my email twice. Where is Yahoo going?

I'll second Brian's suggestion here. My problem is that, when I create a Tumblr entry, Tumblr picks the first 100 characters (or so) to be published as a tweet. However, this 100 or so characters may not make sense to my Twitter followers.

I suppose I can structure my Tumblr log and discipline myself to always have a short description first. But it would help if the Tumblr dashboard has some kid of character counter so I know what will be published as a tweet.

I wonder who Clay Aiken is referring to, though. David Cook was already in music before American Idol and he was consistently polished (know it all? heh) throughout last season. Also, the show kept discovering real people like Jordin, Carrie and Taylor. They were amateurs before AI.

You know, I was actually thinking about doing a follow up to this post. You're definitely right about getting points based on how often you post, but I don't think you get points based on hits. My blog post about Jakarta bombings got 10 times my usual hit rate at one time, but my tumblarity didn't move one point.

What Google Books should have is an option filter only downloadable books. Right now there are many versions of, for example, Treasure Island. And its very hard to find the one version that is downloadable
