Reminds me of the lame costume from the Hulk TV special. Stick to the traditional red costume. Even the Affleck version was better.

Good point but I don't know if I would place all the blame on the director. In my opinion, Joel Schumacher has made good films (I enjoyed Lost Boys, Falling Down, Flatliners, etc.). I think he approached his two Batman films with the misguided directive from the Warner Bros. head honchos and marketing "geniuses" to make Batman more campy and "fun" to counter what they thought was the overly dark Tim Burton version of Batman Returns. Does Schumacher deserver some blame for the awfulness of his two Batman flicks -- absolutely. But it's wrong to place all or even most of the blame solely on his shoulders.

Alamo Drafthouse is hands-down the best cinema experience out there. Most of the "Baby Day" comments aren't really complaints, just suggestions for improvement, and many of them make sense if they can be implemented.

As much as I don't want to see my hometown NYC destroyed on the big screen again, California isn't a good enough option (even with CGI) since they don't have big enough buildings for the giant monsters to stomp. I say set it on Monster Island.

When it comes to movies, I agree, it shouldn't make a difference which studio is releasing the films, if they're good, fans will come. (It's not like DC hasn't had success at the boxoffice for its superheroes before.) The videogame comparison doesn't fully work, though, since some gamers can't afford to have multiple platforms and usually choose one.

True, but I think Clooney was the least of Batman and Robin's problems. I would blame a lot of people for its failures before Clooney. I actually thought he was better than Kilmer in the role.

But the Batman series proved that the actor behind the mask isn't as important as the character (Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, and now Ben Affleck). All the actors are interchangeable, really.
