I just discovered Annie's when looking for something to give my toddler. I had some extra protein for her - hemp seeds, ground flax - and sprinkle some more grated cheese so she understands that this is "cheese pasta." For me, I've added more Parmesan cheese and an insane amount of black pepper. So good! This is also a go-to meal for me on weeknights, at least once a week.

--Naveen
@nav_een

Re: I Can Never Wear High Heels

I have very flat feet since birth and have struggled with finding good
shoes and arch support my whole life. I use orthotics but hard to find
shoes that accomodate them. Birkenstocks have been a lifesaver. And I
just discovered Vionic/Orthaheel shoes. Stylish and pricey but they're
great -- built-in arch support. If you visit Foot Solutions' website,
they list orthotic or ortho-friendly shoe brands. You can visit the
brand website to get an idea of shoes that suit your needs.

Re: win a copy of nigellissima – Style At Home Blog

I like the simplicity of the yoghurt carton cake. There is so much to miss about the show. At the core, it was about relationships – mother-daughter relationships of all three Gilmore Girls. This was appointment-TV with my own mom and sister and the three of us enjoyed watching the GG go through their realistic relationship dramas with each other. It gave us all something to think about, but always left us feeling warm-and-fuzzy. The banter between characters was unlike anything else on TV and the pop culture references were a great part of the dialogue; I always found myself looking them up. I loved the fact that Rory was so different, in a positive way, from other teens on TV and I could relate to her bookwormy-academicness + obsession with TV and movies! It was refreshing to see; finally someone who enjoys culture, books and actually cares about her education by actively showing that she studies, I never really saw that on TV. The crew of characters, the quirky, small-town feel… I could escape each week and feel like I was a part of that world. Some say the Gilmore Girl universe was unrealistic but that’s not the point… maybe you can’t find a real town with such a closely-knit community, but the show still offered a dose of realism with its messages about love, community, family and friendship.

Re: We’re Giving Away GILMORE GIRLS Swag (Your opportunity to reconnect with your inner Gilmore!)

Gilmore Girls is my all-time favourite show and I enjoy it now through reruns and show DVDs. When I was 16, two friends and I, home alone, decided to cook ourselves lunch, including dessert (not at my house). We made our entrees with no problem.

Moving on to dessert, we decided to bake a cake, nothing too fancy, just using a cake mix. We went looking for a cake pan and found a glass casserole dish - decided to use that instead. My one friend (whose house we were at - was unfamiliar with baking in the casserole dish, but the glass dish looked exactly like the one my mom used to use bake lasagna. Having the most cooking experience of the three of us (and it was not a lot at the time), I assured them that the cake would be fine in the dish. We added the cake batter, put it into the oven and proceeded to clean up the kitchen before sitting down to eat.

About 10-15 minutes into the baking time, one friend asked me take a look at the cake. I went to the oven, turned the oven light on and peered through the door window. Just as I took a look, the entire casserole dish exploded, right before my eyes! I'm taking loud banging sound, and shattered glass everywhere! Apparently, the dish WASN'T an oven-safe dish!

My friends and I started freaking out and my one friend said her mom was going to "kill her" if she found out about the broken dish. Cleaning up the cake from the oven was a disaster; there was batter splattered everywhere in the oven and so many, tiny little pieces of glass to clean.

We spent the next few hours, all three of us, cleaning and wiping that oven and then disposing of the ruined evidence. Our appetites were spoiled, our lunch went cold and we had no dessert. But no one ever found out that it was us who ruined the casserole dish!

Luckily, the experience didn't turn me off from cooking and I can hold my own in a kitchen now - but I am definitely more careful about what goes in my oven!

Re: Questions & Answers from eRecruiting Web Forum

Hi Rachel - great presentation and very useful information.
