The idea was to look generally at some of the behavioural characteristics of the most active individuals, based on our experience.

We've certainly looked in more detail at the behaviour of fans of specific brands, but I'm afraid we can't share the data from that research.

If there's one thing we wanted the Contagious Magazine audience to take away, it's the idea that you should think about the different motivations of your fans, and act accordingly.

Re: Hello Asia, We Are Social

Welcome - looking forward to more satay and stingray on my next visit!

Re: 6 steps to social media crisis recovery

Thanks Petra, Marie and Anne. I agree it's important to remain positive, and a key part of being prepared is a robust and clear escalation process. Nothing worse than not knowing (or not being able to find) the person who needs to approve something when every minute counts.

Re: Hippies, Facebook and making social TV

Carol, I'm not sure that consumer creation of Superbowl ads is the same as "two-way media." The democratisation of the means of video production is certainly a good thing, and is resulting in a wider variety of material being broadcast, but it's still essentially asynchronous: it's produced in advance of the moment it is broadcast and there's no way for those watching the Superbowl to interact with the ad. Aside from that, the cost of advertising during the Superbowl is rather beyond the reach of the average consumer...

Re: Why Ford is Winning on the Social Web

Interesting post - I think that having a human face who actively participates in social media on an ongoing basis is fundamental to the success Ford is having, and the story that your data is telling.

To add a European perspective, we've been working with Ford of Europe to help launch the Fiesta here - a campaign that included Flickr, but more importantly got various relevant communities involved.

We've uploaded a short presentation that outlines the campaign and some results to Slideshare:
http://www.slideshare.net/w...

We would be interested in any comments you might have.

Re: Mostly This:

Glad to hear the Remington is helping tame the tache!
