Fwiw, I have the 16" and have had probably hundreds of kernel panics (happening since day 1). Though I just read yesterday turning off Power Nap may be the "cure." So far so good, but it's been super frustrating to have a $3k computer not be able to reboot and crash randomly overnight.

I can't imagine the logistics of dealing with all of these problems at their scale of operation.

Had same issue. When I added the fireBullet method to Invader.swift, the bullets showed up.

Good point. I realized that about 15 seconds later, haha. I just happened to be looking at a property where all iPads were reported as 768x1024.

I'm seeing several using 1024x768 now, but honestly that resolution seems to be pretty unique to spammers looking through my various properties, so maybe just filter all 1024x768?

I've been getting the error every time I try to sync on Mac and iPad for the last few weeks, and it still happens. It's not periodic, I've been completely unable to sync. Signing out and back in didn't help.

It's not a huge deal for me, but count me in as looking forward to moving to Dropbox and taking the SimpleText icon off my menubar.

i agree, that seems to be the answer. i've known many folks that live in the NW and escape to Asia for the winter (when the weather is just gross in OR/WA). the logistics of exiting to the woods for a few months is the tricky part, both financially and lease/rent-wise. but surely it can be done. also, i apologize for calling you shirley.

Another vote for the current icon. If anything, I'd simplify and refine what you have, maybe a slightly more pleasing texture behind the ¶ (agreeing with Nick).

summers are pretty mild in Portland, honestly.. it's dry heat like LA, and rarely gets above the mid-90s. nobody i ever knew in 5 years of living there owned an AC unit if that tells you anything. the rain, however, is comparable to Seattle.

i'm now starting to scheme a rural rental situation outside of portland, along the columbia, maybe on the washington side. as weird as it sounds, i miss the moss & mold, haha.

i visited Madrid for 3 weeks when i was 16, but i've never lived there. didn't make it to Barcelona, just La Costa Del Sol and Gibraltar and Granada. i'd love to see Portugal!

Both you and Tim did a great job. It's one of the nicest iPad interfaces I've seen. Super simple, lots of breathing room, and intuitive to use. I honestly wish Apple would go this route with built-in apps instead of the faux-real-object gaudiness.

Bravo! Excellent post, would love to see more. Great insight into all the gory details that goes into what seems to be a simple service. The biggest thing I see here is: you need SPACE to house a ton of parts, as well as a decent organization and/or mental catalog of everything. And of course, that it's definitely not an easy-profit overnight success scheme.

A site I've been much enjoying recently is http://minimalmac.com/, which often reminds us to not get sucked into the new gadget lust, and that what we have will do just fine for years. And of course iFixit has really pushed the using-old-junk-is-being-green angle. Both of which I think are valid points that add not only business but ethical foundations for what you're offering here. (Not exactly sure of my point here, maybe it's just a pat on the back, ha.)

i love the sound of that for sure, but i don't really have a problem with getting work done. i certainly could step up my business to the next level if i put my mind to it, but i have just never really wanted to do that, because the "work" i want to be focusing on is COMICS.

it's true it's hard to determine where to live. nothing seems to stand out as an obvious choice. i want a bit of everything.
