I always liked the fact that Deino and Zweilous apparently don't even have eyes under that fur.

I like how their pokedex entry essentially paints them as ravenous blind mouths that just bite the shit out of everything in reach.

About the Vitreous Drinker's apparently disconnected ability to control spectral ravens, I remember hearing that ravens ate eyeballs of corpses(softest part and easy to reach!) left on the ground back in the middle ages, so it might be a reference to that?

Did I ever tell you the idea I had for a Bacteriophage pokemon a long time ago? I was thinking about what could possibly be the type combination Rock/Poison, and I realized that Viruses are basically "living" minerals that poison people. I imagined a sort of big bacteriophage thing with a grinning face on its crystalline head, and it was supposedly filled with really toxic liquid. Its special ability would be something that allowed its attacks to do more damage/badly poison with every move in exchange for damaging it every time; I imagined it would be explained as it rupturing its crystal head to spurt poison/virus-infested liquid on the target!

As a minor note, water types aren't immune to burn unless they have an ability that counters it out or used Water Veil. Interesting idea though, perhaps possessor of a special fire attack that does normal damage to water types?

In case you're wondering, the "body check" referred to in Eeleye's description is just slamming into someone with your body to attack. In real life, there's also a "hip check" which is slamming someone with your hips, and so forth.
