I would say I have attended plenty of good conferences, but what made them good was first, the people I met, especially those who have become lifelong friends as a result, and second, good content. I really think the content (or speakers) have to be really top notch no matter what else you have.

Re: The will to innovate

Yes, I do! : )

Re: Overcoming our indifference to innovation

I think this has a lot to do with your earlier question about fear. Particularly for associations and non-profits, eternally a few years behind the corporate world, it's crucial for them to find ways to enter the social space in order to survive and better yet, to really thrive. Personally, I am also finding a niche for myself within this area and discovering that a personal interest in something can result in huge professional development - awesome.

Re: Musicians Play for Tips- The Importance of Comments

Ha - as it happens I just posted about the same topic! http://www.diaryofareluctan...

Commenting is an integral part of joining the conversation, but the other side of the coins is that it's ok if you don't get too many comments on your own blog - you may have a more passive audience than others - but it doesn't mean they aren't there, reading your stuff!

Re: Social Media Club: Devils Advocate

Dude.
