I agree but the SF story overall has gotten way too over-the-top and pretty cheesy. If they were to try to make a serious movie out of it, they would have to remove so much from the real story & loyal fans would get upset because of it. Serious-movie hair and costumes would be toned down so much that fans would also complain about that as well as casting choices (ie. "The Chun-Li actress's legs aren't huge & her qipao poofy shoulders aren't really poofy").
