Your pessimism is warranted. Many think that what happened in Japan can't happen in the US. Why not? why is the US so special or different? In fact we have on board the wisest and trickiest scoundrels the earth has ever known.
I wish it was different, but our leaders (or people in that position) have totally closed a blid-eye to the everyday problems faced by mainstreet ... this will be a vicious and lasting bear market. Let's hope that we will make the world a better place as a result, so that future generations will not ever be confronted with greedy policymakers.

if all these traders are bullish, that makes the bearish case that much stronger ... a further drop of 20-30% is the last thing on people's minds ... they all seem to think we have succesfully re-tested the bottom.

This is anything but your garden variety sell-off ... tetonic plates are shifting!
