You have to be incapacitated or out of town to file an absentee ballot in Connecticut. You must affirm this fact on the application for a ballot. Persons violating this requirement are subject to a penalty of $1000 and up to 5 years in prison. Persons who fraudulently solicit or otherwise conspire to interfere with the this process are subject to these same penalties.

Article missed an important point. Rivera declared victory at 9:00 PM. Then this happened (from the CT Post):
"Rivera beat Felipe on the voting machines, 290 to 240, but Felipe made up for it with mail in ballots, 226 to 53." I Hope other people find it unusual that Felipe got almost as many absentee ballot votes as he did machine votes on Election Day. What this means is that 226 people declared that they had a legitimate reason not to vote in person per absentee ballot legal requirements.

A 30 year mortgage is not a real option to tolls. Kennedy states this plan " ... does not increase taxes ..." Will the mortgage will be paid off by an 800 pound gorilla in a cave somewhere. No. Taxes will have to be increased.
Not a big fan of tolls but I really wish the Republicans had a real plan to deal with the transportation infrastructure in the state.

"per capita" is not correct. There are over 50,000 people (capita) in Milford. The 25,909 number in the report is the number of tax returns filed.

Right. Actually no one who lives along I-95 want's tolls. I also don't want to be forced to buy a cat license, but that isn't going to happen either. That said, do you have any real ideas on how we should fund transportation in Connecticut?
