Do more with less because we can't or won't find the money. Do more of the same thing that hasn't worked in the past because it will be more successful as defined by a standardized test score. This is why I am now a retired public school teacher!

Re: IDOE: After Two Days Of ISTEP+ Glitches, Some Testing Can Resume Wednesday

Same thing happened here in Oklahoma again today. We were finally able to get the students on the test at about 11:40 AM (after starting at 9:20 AM and having the kids click the CTB icon and then the error message repeatedly for 2 hrs.). My daughter's district didn't even try today and is trying to reschedule. Our testing window ends statewide on Friday. So far, no help from the Oklahoma State Dept. of Education.

Re: Several Schools Suspend ISTEP+ For Day After Glitch Slows Online Tests

Happened in Oklahoma (statewide) too, today.

Re: Online Petition: Oklahoma City Public Schools Must Adopt Balanced Internet Content Filtering Policies

This is what I have dealt with for the last 3 years in the OKC schools as a teacher. I and my students developed excellent resources on Wikispaces only to have it blocked. I was given the same exact reasons when I contacted IT. I tried with 2 different principals to use the district "procedure" to get sites unblocked to no avail. OKCPS: there are fantastic, FREE resources out there for our students to use. Let's join the 21st century and use our computers for something more than "drill and kill".

Re: http://vickidavis.me/post/11652488465

Thanks for the reminder to love and appreciate our precious families. Sometimes, as teachers, it is our families that get the left out more often than they should.

Re: April Updates, Music Education (ME) Bloggers, MusTech.Net 2.0, And More!

I would like to be added to the ME Bloggers list, but the ajax form on the Contact page is not coming up in my Firefox browser.
