I totally agree. Pat won't have any problem selling tickets for this tour even with the mystique that is surrounding the material. My point with giving away the tickets is that students just can't afford $60-$80 tickets anymore. This isn't about making sure the venue is full, but exposing Pat's influence on a new generation of musicians. I have spoke with Pat personally about this project and even he said that people that are very close to him don't quite understand the material. I don't think this has been the case with previous projects (maybe Zero Tolerance?).

Anyways, I would love to hear what you think of the tour when you see it.

I am trying to setup River2 and when I go to Misc>Tool Catalog my computer opens the browser and goes to my home page. Any ideas?

Jon,
No, these voicings aren't all in 2nd inversion. "Drop 2" is a voicing technique used by many arrangers to allow certain notes to fit into registers that were better suited for the instruments they were writing for. Usually that meant a horn section. It just so happens that guitarists like these because they lay so comfortably on the guitar and are very easy to alter to make more advanced sounding voicings.

I do see the value in actually holding the magazine and reading it. I wonder if any of the magazines would publish an electronic version that could be read offline?
