They need (to mix metaphors) scalps just as we did, when we were young--to find teaching positions and work.  Many of us baby boomer composers (I, for one) never plan to retire---that is not a way to ingratiate ourselves with young folks needing our positions.  Let's grow up--in our wisdom (at this age), why not create new opportunities, rather than belly-ache about missing out on opportunities created for youngsters in this over-crowded field.&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">musewoman</dc:creator><pubDate>Mon, 19 May 2008 20:30:36 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
