Yep! I was on the Y2K team at Nortel that fixed all the SS7 issues in their phone networks.

SS7 is the telephony signalling protocols used to set up and tear down telephone calls in most parts of the world-wide public switched telephone network.

I have similar challenges with my parents. I can sympathize with this.

Does your daughter and your parents ever correspond by snail mail?

How do your parents like to be communicated with? What is their communication style? How can you adapt to it?

This sounds like a challenging situation to be in.

Do these meetings need to happen onsite? Would you let him choose the location of these weekly meetings if they were offsite?

I'd be curious about the use of silence in this situation. Just to sit and let him speak or also just sit in silence together? He might just need the space to just be with someone else?

What are 2 or 3 other coaching videos that you could record to change other parents that have the same challenges? Can you describe them in one or two lines?

Is there a cause of concern with the surge in foreign investment in Toronto?

What is the cost to the investor for community driven design rather than designing for maximum profits? Can that cost be turned into a profit over the long term and if so would it still be a higher return than the maximum profit model?

Do you envision pitching this to investors in Toronto in the months ahead?

Sanjeet love the passion that's captured here. This can easily be part of your on boarding process of any new employees.

The video is over by almost 2 minutes. If you had to record a second video what would you cut from it? How would it sound? Could you carry forward the same amount of passion and emotion as you did in your first video?

If you do ever record a 3 minute version, would love to see it.

And could you share the existing video with your staff and include their feedback?

Deconstructing what you said:

- 28 staff, 8 FTs + 20 interns
- Department is running at 50-60% capacity
- You estimate that 30k annually can increase this by 30-40% to a 90% capacity
- $30,000 annually / 20 interns = a cost of $1,500 per intern per year
- $30,000 annually / 30% = $1,000 per percent increase

To hit your 90% capacity each of your interns will require a minimum of a 1.5% increase in their performance for the year. Do you believe this is possible?

What is their average performance versus that of the performance of a full time employee? Would your department get a better performance ROI if it were to train some of your FTE staff as well?

Will you be providing your VP with a handout with a better explanation of the numbers and the expected performance ROI?

At the moment I haven't figured how the saas tool plays into my desire for blockchain. Just that these are two distinct interests that I have. And that by doing both could steer me towards a future career that might strike the right balance.

At this point I don't know if I'd start my own company or get hired by an existing company. If it's the latter I hope I don't need to negotiate on the remote option.

It might just be that I wish to maintain my status of being normally of resident Bermuda instead of that of another country. Though we'll see how I'll feel about this in the next few years.

It's interesting to think of imposter syndrome as a motivating force juxtaposed as something that is holding us back from leaping.

Your post sounds like you're still exploring what your actual goal could be. Somewhere between being involved more in UXD and being a leader. Can you be more specific?

Could you include a rework of your goal in a P1 style as part of your RS?

I resonate with a lot of what you've said. At least the spirit of it. The sense of just going with the flow with how things are rather than acting as an agent of change.

I would encourage you to take up @Conor McCarthy's challenge on doing a P1 for this.

And are there anyone in your circle right now that can hold you accountable? At least hold you accountable just to start this? And can you be more specific on the type of skills you need to learn to accomplish this?
