I think that the important question is "What did McCain learn from the Keating Five?"

He clearly did not learn that deregulation of the S&L industry which cost thousands their savings and pensions was a bad thing.

He clearly did not learn that deregulation of the Finance Industry which is costing millions their 401k and pensions and savings, is a bad thing.

He has even found ways to cheat his own Campaign Finance Reform.

How can we reward a man who was unable to learn a thing from what he has described as "his most horrible personal event"?

I say we defeat McCain in 2008.

And then Monegan was replaced with Kopp, who promptly resigned after his sexual harrasment cases were brought to light.

The article below ran in the WSJ a couple of days ago.
This is going to scare off many elderly who understand it.
McCain plans on funding his health care tax incentive by cutting Medicare and Medicaid. $1.3 billion over 10 years.

What did McCain lealrn form the Keating FIve?
He clearly did not learn the important lesson that deregulation of the S&L industry cost Americans their pensions and savings.
The same push to deregulate has cost us $700 billion so far in this ruination.
McCain did not learn anything important form that scandal that al ost cost him everything.
I think that it should have cost him everything.
