Don't be afraid to try something a little bit crazy with leg wear... It's one of the least expensive trends to try but really bumps up an outfit!

i just LOVE your take on the j crew outfit! that was one of my favorite looks from the presentation, so i love to see it in a more accessible way. congrats on your weight watchers success- i'm still trucking along too!

Thank you, my dear! The best thing about living here is that honestly no one cares what anyone wears - so it gives you so much freedom to try new things. Sure, there's an office dress code, but it's not like anyone at the subway station would bat an eye if I showed up in something ridiculous.

have you heard of the novel "the swan thieves" by elizabeth kostova? it's a sort of of a mystery in which a man tries to stab a painting in the national gallery of art, then the psychologist who is treating him discovers this backstory relating to a female impressionist artist. it's rather long but interesting and your morisot inspiration reminded me of it. let me know if you decide to read it and what you think!

Love the color combo on that dress! I get a little scared of polyester, too, but sometimes it's worth it for a gorgeous vintage find.

This looks amazing! I've only roasted a chicken once (during a cooking class) but I found it to be much easier than I thought it would be. Maybe one of these weekends when I have the time I'll try it again!

Their wedding was at the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia - it's a gorgeous Beaux Arts building that now houses a children's museum! I think the carousel is original to the building...or at least very old (think 100 years!)
